Foundation for olive skin?

I have olive skin, black eyebrows, brown hair and tan easily. Green undertones. Winter foundation is easy but in the summer I just can't find anything suitable. Its all too pink or orange. I go to counters snd get 'matched' but it looks awful in real light. Any suggestions?

Lisa Eldridge did a video yesterday using what she called a 'true olive' foundation, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk in 06.

I'm an olive and sometimes wear Bourjois cc cream in shade 33 for the summer or the healthy mix foundation in shade 53.

Normally though I wear missha perfect cover bb cream in shade 23 which evens out my base then I match my tan with a bobbi Brown matt bronzer.

As I wear spf 50 daily I find that my fave never catches the sun so I have to add bronzer to match the rest of my body rather than going for a darker foundation.

I have olive toned skin and saw that NYX are doing an olive foundation mixer so that may work?

Otherwise EX1 cosmetics also do good olive toned bases.

I use misha B shade 23 but its quite light. Although in fairness, it seems to even out well. Not sure it would be great though when you have a tan. I find it makes me look pale. Its good in winter though. I have tried other Misha B shades but find they are all too dark.

A fantastic foundation for olive skin is Face atelier pro ultra foundation. You can get it from Coco beau:

They sell samples so you can match your shade. I have shade 4 which i think is sand and it is a perfect match for my complexion. I got testers wheat, sand and another and chose the best one. The fantastic thing about this foundation is that you can purchase a lightener or a darkener so that you can lighten/darken it. It would be a bit pricey though. Try the samples.

I find laura mercier have some good foundation shades for olive skin - with just the right amount of yellow tone without taking it too far mac/bobbi brown I'm looking at you...

I'm Olive skin and use Nars tinted moisturiser in st moritz in summer or a very light covering of Nars sheer glow Barcelona if it is ever back in stock. Maybe if you name your winter brand and shade others who wear the same can help in more detail

WillyWonkasChocolate · 03/06/2017 09:53

What are you using in winter?

Aridane · 05/06/2017 12:46

still Lancome, different shades throughout the year
