Ok. Have lived in this country 10+ years and still never got to grips with this. I need a dress that works for both a sunny daytime party and the following evening party.
Specific case is that I've been invited to an opera at Glyndebourne. But this keeps coming up for summer weddings too.
It must have long sleeves. It must reach the knee. (I am not 21 anymore.) It should be able to cope with big norks. And, just to complicate matters, I do not look good in black or any blues, bright pinks, yellows, or oranges (according to House of Colour, who seem to have decided I am not compatible with any colours I actually like or can wear in summer -- but that's another thread). It should look warm-weather appropriate but be compatible with hiding a vest under it or layering a cardi over it because I still get cold in this country!
Anyone have any suggestions about places to shop or even specific dresses I might try?
