Long sleeves suggestions for very hot country.

Two weeks in rural Kenya in July and I've just been told I have to have long sleeves to cover self harm scars.

Does anyone have any suggestions other than a cardigan or loose shirt? Nothing can be skin tight.

I bought some long sleeved cotton shirts from primark for about £7 each.

I had a look at my friend's pictures and she was able to wear short sleeved t-shirts. From my limited experience I suggest avoiding clothes that will be ruined if they are washed in reddish water, take things you don't mind being ruined or leaving. My friend took lots of resources with her to put on classroom walls.

Thanks. I had planned to wear short sleeves but been asked to keep my arms covered as I have self harm scars so just looking for things that are cool.

Ive just come back from somewhere very hot where I had to cover my shoulders and arms for religious/respect reasons and I bought a couple of floaty kimono tops. They were very cool to wear over a normal tshirt/vest top but covered my arms. Also very quick and easy to rinse out and dry.

Aw thanks. It's my first time there, but I'm going with others who go a lot, so that helps.
