What are Russell and Bromley handbags like

I was shopping the other day and caught sight of a very nice bag in R+B, quite small, grey suede with a chain strap.

I've been thinking about a Mulberry Lily for a while but not sure about the huge price tag! R+B seem to have a similar style for around £200-£300.

What are R+B like in terms of quality? Would you buy one instead of a Mulberry or other expensive designer?

I have a Lancaster (2 handle largish grab bag) and I bloody love it! And I am not even a very handbaggy person.
Great quality leather, well made, mine is burgundy red and goes with anything.
Personally, I would not spend Mulberry money as I also think they are a bit overrepresented and predictable.

I don't buy designer bags (unless it's from a charity shop) .. but I have a fab Russell and Bromley black leather studded handbag that I absolutely love.

Can't remember what I paid for it, but it's great quality - sturdy zips, studs etc. lots of use and no damage. And the quality of leather is sublime - just gets better with age to be honest.

Just had a good recce inside it and lining etc. is all intact and that's after a lot of use.

If you like it then go for it. If my bag is anything to go by you'll have no issue with quality.

Thanks pacific I do love bags and have a few Mulberries. But I'm feeling itchy for a new bag and thought maybe R+B may do it for much less money!

Really good quality and understated too. I have the Lancaster mentioned up thread, and the Katie shopper, both fab bags.
