I want to chop my maxi dress which isn't being worn into a summer dress. I think I know that the midi (?) longer length shown is wrong and that knee length is the way to go but would love opinions as I find it hard to be objective when it comes to myself.
If you were to go knee - where would you do it - just above, middle of knee or just below?
The photo is actually just above knee, it looks on or below the knee because of the angle I've had to hold my phone...

I think the second photo is more flattering.

That's a good idea. I've got a lovely maxi dress I haven't worn for two years.

Prefer the shorter btw.

Babyonboard101 · 01/06/2017 17:54

Inch or two above :)

You could shorten with the hem falling to the visually the narrowest part of your leg - so that might be below, on the knee, or just above, depending on your shape.

CrispyBathTowel · 01/06/2017 21:24

The shorter length looks more flattering on you :)

Shorter.
The longer one is very very "frumpy" (a word I hate due to overuse but the o lu one that fits here).
