What to wear?!!

I'm going to a football presentation, dinner thing in a few weeks. It won't be really formal but I need something nice to wear. I never go out anywhere fancy and whenever I do go out I wear black skinnies with a floaty top so have no idea of what could be suitable.

I'm 37, 5'3 size 12/14 but with awful legs and a belly that makes me look 8 months gone. I do weirdly have a narrow waist from the front and I have a small rib cage.

I tried on a jumpsuit in Tesco yesterday which actually looked quite nice on me but they only had a 14 left which was a bit too big and now it seems it's discontinued.

I have no idea of what would suit my shape or the occasion really so I would very much appreciate some of the great mumsnet S&B advice

Jumpsuit sounds perfect. Where do you usually shop?

Black skinnies, floaty top and a great pair of heels sounds fine to me.

um Tesco usually. I do have a nice top from Apricot though.
