Lipstick recommendation

Hello, I'm after a pinky red lipstick, does anyone have any recommendations? I prefer matte but would consider a gloss if the right shade. Thanks!

Try the colour match at Boots No7. They look at your skin tone with their special camera and then work out which shades will suit you.

I have never worn lipstick but I walked away with three different ones- a brownish one, a pink and a red- and for the first time ever I don't look like I've been playing with mummy's makeup when wearing lipstick

MAC Red, Nars Luxembourg and Tom Ford Cherry Lush are good pink-y reds, also Revlon Fire and Ice.

Lipstick queen in Eden is really nice, depending how much you put on, it can be either a really lovely sheer looking pinky red or a more intense apple red. It's very flattering.

Revlon have lovely matte lip crayons - sure there's a pinky red because I dismissed it in my quest for a true red. Can't remember the number though, sorry

NARS lip pencils are amazing.

Hello, thank you for your replies. That Tom Ford one is terrific, but the price - ouch! I will definitely check out the Nars crayons.

Looking through my collection, I found MAC New York Apple, a lovely lustre-y red with pink undertones. I have just bought Urban Decay Firebird, very pink indeed.

Marc Jacobs Je T'Aime is a muted red pink with a Matt like finish. Is a lovely day time shade. My friend picked it for my birthday and at first I wasn't blown away by it but actually I wear it all the time now as it's so versatile and flattering, being a mix of both red and pink it goes with everything.
The picture isn't me btw!
