I have found the HOLY GRAIL of comfy pants! (Photos)

Step away from the M&S knicker display ladies, and look no further! Now I know these will not be to everyone's taste. In fact, they are exactly to my taste because I'm a bit childish I chose the fabric and the colour of the banding. There are many many other fabric designs available. But, more importantly, they are literally the comfiest pants I have EVER worn! I've spent the last couple of years looking at and posting on MN threads about comfy pants that don't crawl up your arse. And I've found some pretty ok ones after following other peoples advice. But then it occurred to me a few weeks ago to look at handmade pants on Etsy and there are quite a lot. They seem to be known as scrundies. One seller had especially good reviews so I bought one pair by way of an experiment (the dragonfly/butterfly ones) and when I tried them on... well, it was a revelation. So I bought another 3 pairs. I know it sounds like I have something to gain from recommending this seller but I genuinely don't - it's just that having comfy pants has become such a major issue for me as I've got older and fatter so I just wanted to share the love! And they cost £13 - £15 a pair which is about 5 times more than I've ever spent on pants but, well, the time has come. Find SewBippity on Etsy HERE and on FB - this link takes you to the fabric design photos HERE . I will never look back. Smile

No need to be nasty Hmm The OP is excited about her new purchases.

AtticusCactus · 25/05/2017 03:03

They look like the Bonds brand (Australian company). Bonds are more in my price range than these but glad you found some super comfy undercrackers.

Bloomed · 25/05/2017 03:03

Bonds are nice and if you want to invest in comfy undies you need to try Hanky Pankies

accendo · 25/05/2017 04:42

Bonds aren't that ugly, plus they'd have the bonds brand on the elastic waistband.

sofato5miles · 25/05/2017 04:48

I never got the Bonds hype except for their maternity tees.

I like these pants, OP and, if I hadn't, I wouldn't have slagged them off just to burst your bubble.

Ohyesiam · 25/05/2017 17:07

Op, I'm glad you and your bum have found happiness.
Take no notice of these grumpy posts, some people can't stand it when someone feels good.

CowParsleyNettle · 25/05/2017 17:57

They look awful! DH would die laughing.

DarthMaiden · 25/05/2017 18:07

I actually really like them - I'm obviously now questioning if my taste filter has stoped working though.

I think I'd better not buy anything for a while.....Blush

EleanorRigbysNeice · 25/05/2017 18:11

Ummm, they look really cheap. Not nice.

moggle · 25/05/2017 18:26

Aw OP! I get your love! Half of my knicker drawer is these, I too make them myself, same pattern too. So many times I've nearly said on pants threads on here "I know the perfect comfy pants", esp when people complain about narrow gussets, itchy elastic and how hard it is to find cotton pants. Don't worry about the haters we will just be comfy... of course if you're the kind of person who usually goes for lacy pants you're not going to like these... and who cares about the patterns, they're hidden in your trousers / skirt usually? I have a green bee pattern pair, a unicorn pair, a rainbow stripe pair, purple with stars on among others. the other half of my drawer is plain back m&s no vpl pants, very boring! Every time I buy fabric to sew something for my daughter I make sure there's enough to make myself a pair of these.(and they make your bum look fab too don't they OP!!)

LilyChantilly · 25/05/2017 23:00

(whispers) Thanks moggle, you're lovely Flowers (tiptoes away again)

Well I buy £1:50 pants from primark and they're very comfy and look a lot nicer.

liftwantedaroundtheworld · 25/05/2017 23:07

Ah one of my friends introduced me to these pants recently! The maker I buy from makes such delights as these...

Ginger782 · 25/05/2017 23:07

I was genuinely excited by the title of this thread. HmmConfused

Aeroflotgirl · 25/05/2017 23:09

Erm not my cup of tea, but if you like them, and they are comfy, go for it. Someone I know, gets period pants, with pictures of gory blood scenes to wear on her period, but she wears them all the time as they are so comfy, they look a bit like those op😂😂😂😂😂

PossibiliTea · 25/05/2017 23:26

Glad you have found some that work for you! Look a bit itchy and I'm happy with m&s or primarni unless I'm treating myself! They look fun though :)

dudsville · 26/05/2017 06:29

OP, protect that bubble! I have a wide variety of similar pants from Thunder Pants UK. They originally come from Australia or New Zealand. I've posted them on previous pant threads with a similar response. Still, my butt is happy!

liftwantedaroundtheworld · 26/05/2017 06:40

People can be so flipping rude!

The lady I know of who makes these (not the one mentioned by the PP btw) sells out every week, in fact she's got some kind of waiting list because they're so popular. She hand makes them to order and has about 100 fabrics (all cotton, some organic) to choose from. She does matching bras too which I will be buying when I've got the money!

"They look itchy" wtf?

Branleuse · 26/05/2017 07:09

they look great, but surely how comfy a pair of pants are depends on what suits your shape

P1nkP0ppy · 26/05/2017 07:13

I'll stick with my high rise M&S Brazilian knickers thanks! Very comfortable and no VPL.

JeNeSuisPasVotreMiel · 26/05/2017 16:55

Primark sells incredibly comfy pants that are £3 a pair. The secret is to buy the ones with elastic on the legs.

OP, your featured pants also have elastic on the legs which is what makes them comfy.

I have actually sewn shirring elastic onto pants legs to make them more comfy.

ELASTIC

That's the common factor in all of these pants.

moggle · 26/05/2017 18:27

Actually... they aren't elastic, they are folded over bands of cotton Lycra. Holds them up and doesn't dig in as no sharp edges. As long as they're at least 5% Lycra they work fab

glitterglitters · 26/05/2017 18:31

You had me at unicorn pants Grin

LorLorr2 · 26/05/2017 18:36

I think one of the reasons you didn't get the most encouraging of replies is that this post sounds like an ad Blush If you've genuinely found yourself the perfect pants then go you!! Hehe x

onesupplied · 26/05/2017 18:36

They're horrendous and incredibly incredibly incredibly unsexy.
