I have a £65 voucher to spend in Clarins, but it's not a brand I know much about. Thinking maybe an item of make up and maybe something for face or body. Which are the holy grail products that I should try?! Or anything that doesn't live up to the hype/price tag? Thank you Smile

Doux Exfoliant! It's a toner, it's literally the best thing EVER, I've had mine 18 months as you only use it once or twice a week.

CrispyBathTowel · 21/05/2017 20:55

Yes, the above exfoliater is fab too! I love a lot of Clarins products. Ask for a sample of the exfoliater too - they give out quite a generous size.

I rate their foundation - think it's called Ever Matte? I struggle with adult acne, and both oily & dry skin. It's oil free & doesn't dry or sit in my pores. Worth a try :)

Ktown · 21/05/2017 21:03

If you have v pale skin their concealer is perfect
Lasts all day and is really stretchy

nuttyslackster · 22/05/2017 07:18

Wow, thanks for all these suggestions, I am going to have a hard time choosing!! Great idea about getting samples before deciding. My voucher has to be used online so hadn't thought of that but I am pretty sure my local department store stocks Clarins. The Beauty Flash Balm seems to be dividing opinion so will definitely have to ask for a sample of that one! Facial tanning drops sound like a neat idea too. And the lip perfectors definitely look like my cup of tea. Thanks again!

Beauty flash balm is often in their gift things so can pick it up then. So much love for the blue orchid oil here, I hated that, broke me out in huge red welt spots all over my face. However I LOVE Clarins, instant light lip perfectors, instant concealer, shea face wash

VivienneWestwoodsKnickers · 22/05/2017 07:41

The hand cream.
The yellow body wash.
The yellow body oil.
Any of their fake tan products.

Love Clarins!

CaptainWentworth · 22/05/2017 08:01

All those mentioning Hydraquench- it's been discontinued and replaced by a range called Hydra Essentiel. Had a few samples of the various versions and I do like it, except for the weird 'gel sorbet'.

OP, I'm going through a stage of Clarins love at the moment! Have to be a bit careful as I am acne prone and many of their moisturisers contain shea butter which breaks me out. Seem to be doing ok with the Multiactive Jour lotion at the moment though; I also love their cleansers particularly Pure Melt and the Gentle Foaming one with tamarind. Ooh and the Gentle Exfoliant lotion is really lovely too- a very gentle introduction into the world of acid toning.

VivienneWestwoodsKnickers · 22/05/2017 08:04

Oh yes, the bamboo body scrub is fab too.

MinesaPinot · 22/05/2017 09:23

Constant repurchase:

Instant Eye Makeup Remover
Hand cream
Eau Dynamisante (been wearing it for years)

Also like the Pure Melt Gel cleanser (the one with Marula Oil) and the foaming cleanser with Shea Butter but wouldn't necessarily repurchase all the time.

They do excellent Gift with Purchase offers as well

mintmagnummm · 22/05/2017 12:44

Another vote for tanning drops

ememem84 · 22/05/2017 12:57

Agree. Get the gift if you can. I went in to buy moisturiser and body scrub (great stuff) and came out with large sample sizes of eyebmake up remover another scrub and the hydra thingy. Probably got about £100 worth of products for £50. Yay!!

rightknockered · 22/05/2017 13:10

I would get the bamboo body scrub, blue orchid facial oil, body oil, and hand cream. I've tried a lot of Clarins, and these are the ones I always buy

explodingkittens · 22/05/2017 13:12

I love Clarins, and am on Team Beauty Flash Balm Wink

Love their fragrances; have worn Eau Dynamisante in and off for years and it's such a classic imo. Blue Orchid Oil is beautiful too.

On a slightly duller note, their eye makeup remover is the best I've ever tried, takes everything off in one swipe (including waterproof) and smells divine.

Maudlinmaud · 22/05/2017 13:14

Instant smooth face tan. Bloody brilliant stuff. Couldn't live without it. You can put it on them apply makeup over the top and it develops. Or put it on at night. Best facial tanner ever! I have the drops too but not impressed with them but others rave about them.

rightknockered · 22/05/2017 13:15

Ive never got on with the Beauty flash balm, have tried it often because I almost always get given a sample of it with purchases.
Is there some secret to using it? I've found two sample size ones in my drawer, perhaps I should try it again...

Maudlinmaud · 22/05/2017 13:17

You need to put your foundation on straight after beauty flash balm rightknockered don't let it try or it will ball up.

onlyconnect · 22/05/2017 13:17

There's a thick white body lotion which I buy again and again- can't believe I can't remember what it's called as I've been using it for years. It's the best body lotion for my dry skin that I've found, and Ive tried LOADS.

Maudlinmaud · 22/05/2017 13:24

onlyconnect I know what it is. Moisture rich body lotion with shea butter. I'm an ex clarins junkie. You might also like tonic body balm and eau des Jardins body cream.

Happycow · 22/05/2017 15:49

Moisture rich body lotion and the hand cream! Both are by far the best i have used and i have got through most of Boots over the years.

seadragonusgiganticusmaximus · 22/05/2017 16:03

If you want to share with the man in your life the after shave soother is the business. (As long as he's not a hipster, obviously.)

hauntedhenry · 22/05/2017 17:07

Ooh lucky you! I like the hand cream, huile tonic body oil, cleansing milk and the day cream moisturiser. Didn't see any difference at all with the beauty flash balm, so if you want to try that definitely get a sample.

veryveryquietly · 22/05/2017 18:23

If you're buying online from the Clarins website, you'll get to pick 3 free samples in addition to your purchase. Def agree w/ picking the Beauty Flash Balm as a sample, because it's such a love-hate thing.

Melt Gel Cleanser is great if you're oily or combo skin, as is the Lotus Oil - Blue Orchid Oil if you're dehydrated. A tiny sample bottle of the oil is a great thing to try too.

The hand and nail cream is lovely, well worth getting a sample of for your bag. I don't think I've ever actually purchased it, just always gotten as samples w/ other purchases. But it definitely is the best.
