Wedding outfit needed and I'm doing a reading, help!

I'm going to a wedding in the summer and am really struggling with what to wear
I'm doing a reading, so am standing up at the front, so want to wear something special
I'm not very good at buying dresses, as I struggle to imagine what I'll look like with shoes n hair etc
I'm 5ft8ins and a size 10 in dresses
Would prefer for it not to be strapless and I'm not a spring chicken anymore. Albeit I'm not old either, mid 40s
Please can you give me some advice, I have up to £150 to spend on the dress and would also need sandals
Thank you so much Flowers

What colours look good on you?

Do you like patterns?

What shape dresses suit you / what's your body shape?

Any bits of your body you particularly want to hide or show off?

MissMiss1 · 20/05/2017 20:58

I quite like neutral colours and pink
I'd like to be able to wear a bra
I guess I'm a column, I haven't got much shape
I like most shape dresses, just nothing that sits too low

Alright shall I chuck a few out there and you can say yay or nay so we can get an idea of your thing?

Here's one

This is pretty if you like lace

Stronger pink pattern

This would give you a waist

Obligatory Coast dress

Over budget but I think it would look really good on your figure, and you would probably be able to get it on a Blue Cross Sale type event at some point in the next few weeks

Thoughts?

One more over budget but more high fashion

MissMiss1 · 20/05/2017 22:31

Thank you so much for taking the time to find those dresses
I like the last one, but I'm not sure if the dress looks like it costs that much, do you?
I also like the coast one, but I guess a lot of people will be wearing dresses from there Smile

Hobbs dress, more of a drapey look if that's what you're after

Also feel I should mention this because of the crazy reduction / sale price

That Nougat dress is amazing, Batteries!

I found lots I liked on this website for an event recently - for example -

lux-fix.com/shop/palermo-pink-dress-by-eden-row

lux-fix.com/shop/maddie-blue-bodycon-dress-by-body-frock

lux-fix.com/shop/peony-caramel-lace-dress-by-body-frock

I am not sure if the last one is a bit too bridal and is over budget !

Think I got sent a 15% code when I signed up !

Anyway worth a look !
