Wardrobe Icons - does anyone actually 'shop the page'?

I read through Wardrobe Icons most weeks but I have yet to see anything that I just have to have.

Does anyone see things they like and then follow through and purchase?

How do you think they make their money? If it's by affiliate links then a heck of a lot of folk would have to be buying stuff. Maybe they are...just not me :)

Laura of WIT said when she closed down her personal blog that WI was the result of her readers feedback and what they wanted from the blog in an ideal world . I took it that this was supposed to be the natural progression from WIT i.e. She was getting so many "where can I buy your top/skirt/shoes" questions from her outfit posts that it made sense to set up a shopping site. Except that's not what she and her partner have done. The best bit of WIT was Lauras outfit posts which aren't part of WI. Instead there is the digital mag. Added to this Lauras price point had increased dramatically and high end designers just don't appeal/aren't affordable to the masses. Maybe you don't need that many click throughs though when you're selling peasant blouses costing £300.

Laura had started posting outfits again on her WIT instagram and it has been warmly and enthusiastically received. So maybe WI will change. I genuinely do wish her and her partner luck, it must be hard to break through and be successful in fashion. I bet its a cut throat industry to make it in. Gosh that was long!

Had/has

I used to reward WIT, but I'm not keen on wardrobe icons. Most of it is really expensive. I'm not sure who the target audience is supposed to be, but it certainly isn't me.
