Joules Coast waterproof jacket

Does anyone have one? I need a waterproof coat for when I work outside in bad weather.

I currently have a Trespass jacket but I hate the look of it and it makes me feel a bit sweaty.

Thought the Coast one looks more stylish....?

Ooh interested to know as I've been considering this. Worried it will make me look a bit square and frumpy tho

Jux · 17/05/2017 16:34

THis one's nicer imo lhco.co.uk/Jack-Murphy-Malvern-Bush-Coat-Olive-p3748.html#.WRxtNlTTWhA

Dancergirl · 17/05/2017 17:57

Have you looked at the Berghaus range, Dancer? I have the Attingham waterproof jacket - it's really nice, fits well and doesn't feel like a waterproof.

MikeUniformMike · 17/05/2017 18:36

The Coast in red looks nice and the other colours are ok too. I have a berghaus and I love it.

Mrs9C · 17/05/2017 19:13

I have it, and love it. It's lightweight, and not sweaty. Hate a sweaty jacket. I also have the Seasalt one, not much between them really.

astoldbyginger · 17/05/2017 19:16

I have one and I love mine. I wasn't sure about spending so much on a jacket but it's great in the rain and the hood stays up in the wind.

Mothervulva · 17/05/2017 19:17

I have one. Has been really useful in the wet weather. They have a nice red one atm b

Marble2302 · 17/05/2017 19:25

I have one it's great for the school run. I don't need an umbrella. It's also cool to wear. I couldn't go back to a plastic mac type.

JaneEyre70 · 17/05/2017 19:26

I walk my dog miles every day and wanted a lightweight wind/waterproof coat to wear, so chose a Jack Wolfskin softshell. It's gorgeous, warm but so light you forget you're wearing it. It's also completely windproof and has a soft lining so you don't get that clammy horrid sauna feeling that you get with traditional waterproofs. I paid around £120 for it but it's been worth every penny.

buntingqueen · 17/05/2017 19:31

I have one and love it! It's quite light, but also windproof, and waterproof. I wasn't sure about spending so much but I use it in all weather.

Swearwolf · 17/05/2017 20:50

I have it in yellow and really love it!

Dancergirl · 17/05/2017 21:06

Thanks all, I'm convinced! I quite like the French navy or maybe the berry colour. Yellow or red are a bit too bright for me!

Do Joules ever do discount codes?

Yes, often. Follow them on Facebook. Quite often have 25% off.

Seasalt have a similar one too, I have one from a few years ago.

@JaneEyre70 - which jack wolfskin did you choose?

Jux · 18/05/2017 00:22

Dancergirl Grin

JaneEyre70 · 18/05/2017 12:53

BlackadderBells I think it was the Harding Parka.

abigboydidit · 18/05/2017 12:57

I have one but I am afraid I got put off it as it seems really popular with an older age group round here. My mother in law is on her late 70s and has one, as do a few of her friends. Shame as I really loved it!
