Has anyone tried microneedling?

I have finally cleared up my skin after years of acne but I'm left with some scarring that I would love to treat. It isn't too bad but I have a few deep scars on each cheek and general texture issues on my forehead.

I've been watch Dr Sam Bunting on Youtube and been reading various articles about microneedling for acne scars. Has anyone had this done? It seems your skin looks better immediately due to swelling but what are the long term effects? I'm reluctant to spend £££ on this without some positive stories.

Also wondering about microdermabrasion.

Yes me! Microderm just didnt work on me. Have done around 6 needling sessions. I have numbing cream on before hand and i look sunburnt for around 2 days after. But my skin feels so much smoother. The clinic i go to charges 900 for 6 sessions

How long ago was it wizzy? How bad is the sunburn look immediately after? Don't want to scare my 4 year old too much :)

How did you choose a clinic? There is one near me that is run by a doctor famous for Botox but I can't find any reviews about the microneedling there.

Have you tried things like retinol and glycolic acid first? My skin was awful with scarring and dreadful texture, and after using alpha h gold is is so much improved you would assume I'd had something dramatic and costly done rather than a few months of changed skin care.

I ve had so many compliments and people asking what I've had done (someone was certain I'd had Botox) and it was just down to different, slightly more expensive skincare which really suits me.

I have been for quite a while Porquoi and the results have been excellent. It's just the deeper scars which I think need something more. I used to have awful bumpy skin too but the retinol and glycolic have made a huge difference.

I'd love a retinol recommendation though if you have one. I have La Roche-Posay Redermic R but I'm wondering if there is something better.
