And what are your go to products?
E.g Cleanser, toner, moisturiser, foundation, mascara etc.

At the moment I have been reaching for:

St Ives fresh face scrub
Olay beauty fluid
Rimmel match perfection foundation
Rimmel stay matte powder
Avon eyeshadow quad in brown shades
Mac bronzer
Clinique mascara
Vaseline rosy lips

For my hair I just straighten it or put in a messy bun.

Shower and shave.
Eyeliner and masara. Lip salve.
Once a week - new nail polish.
When necessary - moisturise hands or legs. Touch up nails.
That's it.

Goodygumdrops1 · 14/05/2017 18:27

Shower, face scrub, shampoo and condition. Brush teeth. Will moosturise body every other day, Moisture face, make up. Night time, wash face, use baby wipe to remove make up, moisturise, brush teeth. Will pluck chin hairs very few days. Get the rest of my face threaded every two weeks, along with my shellac and lash extension infills. Exhausting! X

I wash my face and grab a four minute shower when the kids take a break from killing each other.

If hubby is home I'll stretch to a bath and shave my legs. I wear moisturiser when I remember.

If I'm going out out (twice in the last four years wahoo!) I use bare minerals foundation with spf, eyeliner, mascara, blusher and highlighter. If I'm just going to the shop it's a messy bun and sunglasses. Hides the bags and takes two minutes.

ragz134 · 14/05/2017 19:05

Some days nothing, some days I cleanse and moisturise with whatever I have.
If I'm wearing makeup it's bb cream, powder, mascara, lip balm/gloss.
Micellat water to remove.
Just bought a face cleansing brush machine thing to encourage me to cleanse more often. It worked for a week then the novelty wore off!
Wash hair every 3 days ish. Manage to do teeth slightly more often. Never been able to get into a proper routine... I'm slightly ashamed lol

I stock up whenever I go/ friends go to the states. But you can get them on EBay no problem.

Initially when I used them ( did a fortnight of a strip for an hour every other day or so which took the colour up about 5 shades) my teeth had a bit of a zingy feel to them, but I used Sensodyne and they calmed down.

You don't have to use them so intensively to start with if you're. Interned about sensitivity (I'm just a very impatient person!) as one strip a week for a month will make a very noticeable difference.

My teeth are not ridiculously white but it has made my overall face look more youthful. My dentist was a bit Hmm about it when I told him, but he says no harm done.

MistyMinge · 14/05/2017 19:09

Feeling like I need to up my game. I'd like to invest in some better skincare stuff, but don't have the time or energy to do it all.

Morning - simple moisturising cleanser, simple spf 15 moisturiser, estee lauder foundation, bourjois rose blusher, maybe some Benefit bronzer, rimmeL eyebrow gel, mascara, vaseline rosy lips.

Evening
Lidl or Aldi face wipes as I fall into bed Blush

Nails, eyebrows etc etc all need attention

usefultoken · 14/05/2017 19:17

Morning, wash face with water, apply black seed oil, bit of foundation (can't remember brand, under a tenner). Shower before bed (not always but usually as seem to get sweaty at work), use nice soap to wash body and sls free shampoo (wash hair every other day). More black seed oil. I'm told I don't look my age.

stevie69 · 14/05/2017 19:21

MORNING

Shower
Wash face with Sebamed cleansing bar or African black soap
Melted coconut oil for body lotion (on damp skin in shower)
Green People Day Solution (SPF 15)
No makeup. Ever
Rub coconut oil over my buzzcut (number one all over)

EVENING

Wash face as before
Moisturise with coconut oil and a drop of rosehip seed oil around the eyes
Bed

My 'go to' product is coconut oil; you can do everything with it Smile

I love these threads, too Grin

Hair : wash and blow dry twice a week in the salon, don't wash it at home. No other washes.
Face : clean with Liz Earle cream/hot muslin cloth. Then serum before moisturising. At the moment I'm using Nip 'n' Fab Dragon Blood. Moisturise with Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream.
Make up: Benefits Pore Professional, then whatever foundation I'm using at the moment, eyebrows filled in lightly, Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow, Rimmel mascara, lipliner, Charlotte Tilbury lipstick - also used as blusher.
Body : exfoliate in the bath/shower with those scrubby gloves, then cover myself in coconut oil, except for bottom - I use that Brazilian bum-bum cream!; and Soap and Glory foot cream, neck and chest I use a No 7 decolettage serum (or it might be L'Oreal, can't be bothered to check)>
Extremities - weekly manicure, monthly pedicure.
Gosh, it makes me tired just reading it all!

Cheesymonster · 14/05/2017 19:37

Occasionally a face mask. Got a bubble face mask off Amazon which is tremendous fun.

Forgot hair. I wash every second day with Pantene volumising shampoo and the new mousse conditioner. Then Tresemme volumising mousse and heat protector spray. Blow dry it. Have just invested in a curling wand so experiment with that when I have time.

I am something of a tomboy but I do have a - very basic and quick - routine since many years ago. I just change up one of the products every now and then.

Every night I wash my face with no. 7 hot cloth cleanser before/in the shower. Then when I get out I put on no. 7 serum followed by night moisturiser about 10 minutes later. In the mornings I pluck my eyebrows (every two to three days), splash cold water on my face (I don't shower every morning) and then apply Avène moisturiser for sensitive skin with spf. I don't wear make up unless going to a wedding or a party or something.

When I wear make up it's Body shop tinted moisturiser and blusher, no. 7 concealer, Burberry bronzer and mascara, Burberry or Bourjois eyeshadow (I rarely wear eyeshadow), Lancôme or Dior lipgloss and either Hema felt tip eyeliner or No. 7 kohl pencil.

I wash my hair twice a week and let it dry naturally (it's long and straight). I alternate Lee Stafford purple shampoo with the Aussie colour care one then use Garnier honey conditioner. When my hair is dry I follow up with a quick coconut oil spray (the ogx one).

I never paint my fingernails as I play basketball 3 times a week and also play the violin regularly. I always paint my toenails, all year round, usually shades like coral, lilac or various pinks. I like Burberry, Body Shop or Chanel nail polishes. Touch up toe polish every week or so. Also use peppermint foot scrub and a dedicated foot moisturiser (Babaria brand, very cheap, from supermarket) in summer.

Outside of summer I wear a dash of perfume each morning, at the moment it's Narciso Rodríguez in the pale pink opaque bottle. In summer it seems to attract mosquitoes to devour me (any kind of perfume) so I steer clear.

Gah81 · 14/05/2017 19:57

You ladies have just inspired me to give myself a pedicure tonight (choosing one of the many red/dark red/burgundy nail varnishes I appear to have accumulated!)

Also, hair: wash every 3 days (Kerastase and L'Occitane, leave-in conditioner and coconut oil on ends pre- and post-wash) followed by natural drying in a bun to tame curls (I have big naturally red curly hair).

Body: body brush daily, whatever hotel shower gel I am using up, then coconut oil all over every day, plus extra moisturiser on any dry patches.

I'm trying to get better at being consistent with this routine:

AM
-LRP Toleraine cleanser
-LRP serozinc spray
-Vichy aqualia serum
-Zelens triple action eye cream (LOVE)
-I'm in between day moisturisers trying to find one that doesn't freak my skin out.
-Biore watery gel SPF

I work at home and tend to get spots from make up so rarely wear it but sometimes use:

  • Bare minerals tinted prime time
-Bourjois healthy mix serum -maybelline eraser eye concealer -testing new mascara from Benefit -Laura Mercier or Mac paintpot eyeshadow -Berts bees tinted balm -Bobbie Brown pretty pink blush -Bourjois delice bronzer

PM
-Emma Hardie moringa balm
-LRP toleraine cleanser
-Zelens acid pads
-LRP serozinc
-Vichy aqualua serum
-Zelens triple action eye cream
-CeraVe PM moisturiser

Zelens z-22 face oil and Hydraluron sheet mask both 1xweek

Nails: Shape and buff or natural/clear polish on fingers, colour on toes once a week. Foot soak and intense moisturiser 1xweek

Hair: either John Frieda dream curls or 3 day straight depending on how I'm styling it.

Dry brush skin and shave every other day. Dove dermaspa gradual tan on legs in the summer.

I want to add other face actives/treatments but have to introduce things really slowly to try and pin point sensitivities. Currently nursing a giant mega-zit from using old travel size products when I went away instead of lugging all of the above on our mini break last week!

Musicaltheatremum · 14/05/2017 20:05

Wake up, shower, splash water over my face. Get dried and dressed. Occasionally lipstick.
At night undress and brush teeth and get into bed.
Rarely moisturise
Never cleanse
Have superb skin but I think that's genetics.
I'm 53

MaQueen · 14/05/2017 20:33

Brace yourselves...

After shower, apply lots of body lotion
Cleanse face with REN Rosa Centrifolia Hot Cloth Cleanser
Apply Boots No 7 Protect & Perfect serum
Apply eye cream (currently using The White Company's new one)
Brush teeth while above is soaking in
Apply Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference moisturiser (have loved it for 15 years).
Deodrant

Make Up:
Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Foundation + concealer
Bobbi Brown creme blusher in Powder Pink
Chanel lippy 'Boy'
Bobbi Brown matte brown eyeshadow (can't remember what it's called)
Bobbi Brown Longwear gel eyeliner in Caviar Ink
Max Factor Masterpiece Mascara Intense (have tried all the high end ones, and this is still my favourite)

Finally, spritz with perfume...

It actually takes me only about 25 mins, from start to finish to do all the above. Honest.

MaQueen · 14/05/2017 20:38

Oh, and I have a professional OPI pedicure once a month.
I have LCN gel overlays on my finger nails every 2 weeks.
A professional half leg, Brazillian bikini and forearm wax every 6 weeks.

Have my hair cut every 5-6 weeks, and high-lighted every 3 months at Tony&Guy.

riojaandcorrie · 14/05/2017 20:40

Wow ladies! I've asked on another thread about makeup you would recommend. I've just started wearing makeup (early forties😫). I'm getting loads of ideas here. I've ordered some erborian cc cream that was recommended. Let me know if any of the products you use are wonderful.

I like the natural look.

Crispbutty · 14/05/2017 20:41

Wipe face with non-perfumed wipes.

Tinted moisturiser
Mascara
Quick swipe of bronzer on cheeks
Hair tied up in a pony then into a bun.

Out the door..

CountFosco · 14/05/2017 20:43

I try and sleep >7h per night and exercise every day (swimming 4 days a week, yoga 3x a week). Keep within the healthy BMI range by eating a healthy diet with not too much cake!

I use E45 cream on everything (face, neck, chest, arms, tummy, legs) except my feet, they need flexitol to stop the cracks. Shave legs occasionally during the summer, keep thinking I shouldn't bother since no-one at the pool seems to notice my hairy legs in the winter. Hair gets cut every 6 weeks but no colour (at 46 I only have a few white hairs but don't intend to dye it, my Mum didn't go noticably grey until her 60s and is a good salt and pepper in her 70s). Don't wear makeup.

I am lucky genetically with the hair colour and have a fairly high metabolism so can eat a not too restricted diet without putting on weight (been losing weight recently and literally all I've done is cut down the cake, not sure if I should be pleased or horrified at that), a childhood in Scotland with no foreign trips means my skin is pretty good, I've got 'acceptable' laughter lines but nothing else. Lucky also that as a scientist my currency is in my brain rather than my appearance, in fact since I spent most of my 30s being annoyed that people didn't realise how experienced I was (I looked very young) I am quite enjoying having some signs of age at last, it has had a positive influence on how customers perceive me.
