avoiding the horror of hotel hairdryer.. .

I travel a fair bit for work and find the quality of hairdryers in hotels to be really hit and miss.

All I want is something reasonably powerful with variable heat control so that I look slightly less like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards.

My hairdryer at home is ace but too heavy to take along with all my other crap.

Can anyone recommend a decent travel or lightweight hairdryer please? Must have variable heat control.

Thanks!

One of the reasons I choose the hotel that I do when I'm in London is because it has a decent hairdryer.

Christ yes the towels - bath sheet or hand towel. Nowt to dry my hair with.

I've never stayed in a single hotel room that couldn't be massively improved with the provision of hooks. Towels, coats, bags, jeans. I could hang them all up.

Which Belfast hotel Gin ? I'm there for work in a few weeks!

I recognise all of this, it is so annoying! I have resorted to splashing out on the travel simplehuman mirror which comes with a light and that has at least solved the mirror/lighting problem. But still can't charge my phone/have a decent hairdryer/ toiletries etc!

Ooh, yes, Gin I'd also love to know which Belfast hotel, please.

Name and praise!

A hotel I regularly stay in has a spa...which is open 9-6 when I am at work. What is the effing point of that? I would love to book an evening treatment before relaxing in my hotel room away from screaming kids.

My dyson travels very well. I actually just bought it for travel but now using it at home too.

Whatthefoxgoingon · 15/05/2017 12:04

Btw the dyson is single voltage so I don't take it to the US.

I hate hotel hairdryers. They're so hot! My hair gets so hot that I can't let it touch my ears. Ridiculous.
