And actually general sportswear!!! I am going to my first Zumba class next week. But I've no trainers and just some outdated leggings and t shirts. I'm size 14 with big boobs....would those little sports bras with vests over look ridiculous???? Recommend me your sportswear.

Whatever you wear will be fine. If you want to buy new stuff h and m are really good, also surpringly sainsburys. Tk max is hit and miss but can have good bargains.

I often wear a sports bra with a racer back vest over the top because it gets very hot. Definitely don't skimp on a good bra.

What trainers are good? It's got very technical with different Ines for different sports and gaits nowadays.

I've got some north face trail running ones from tk maxx because they're good for shock absorbing and my knees are a bit rickety.

I'd just try a load on and see what feels right. It's not as important for Zumba as running anyway. Some people at my class like split sole dance trainers which apparently make turns easier.

Thanks!! Am going to have to try stuff on I think!!!

Have fun! Zumba is great and I'm sure you'll love it.

def get a decent sports bra-I have the marks ones that zip up the front. Ultra super duper high impact! I wear that with a racer back loose vest thing over the top. Sports direct is great for cheap decent tops. Have fun!

I'm going on my own coz none of my friends fancy it. They mostly go running. So I'm a bit nervous Smile

I prefer it on my own. I feel less self conscious. Once the music starts the nerves will go. Don't worry if you don't pick up all the routines straight away. It takes a while.

Don't wear trainers that have too much grip! I find Nike style running trainers to be the worst when they have the really deep grooves.

In Zumba you'll be on a varnished / slippery floor and if you're wearing shoes with lots of grip and then turn your feet, your feet will stay where they are and your knees will turn instead thereby knackering your knees. Go for something without much tread and if you really enjoy it then a pair of dance boots is perfect.

Yes yes to a good sports bra. Otherwise, anything goes. Have fun! It's such a fun class to take!
