Cloud 9 or GHD straighteners?

My trusty GHDS have broken after about 12 yrs use. Someone said a cloud 9 are the better option now but I've not heard of them so I wanted a few more opinions before I purchase..or should I stick with more GHDS?

In case it matters my hair has a slight natural wave but nothing sinister and is thick but fine.

I have reasonably thick, naturally curly hair that's prone to frizz (it's as bad as it sounds!) which I always wear straight. I have 4yr old GHDs and my sister has the Cloud9. Ive used her straighteners a few times recently and they're really good. Feel much hotter and sort my hair out much quicker. My hair seems to stay straight for longer and it doesn't puff up as much when it's humid/wet (which is a lot in scotland!). I'll definitely replace my GHDs with them when I can.

Cloud9 def.

They've changed GHD's and they're not as good - I love my cloud9's.

Also their customer service is really good. I ran over mine's cable with the hoover - they were really nice on the phone - sent them back being quite honest and expecting a bill and they just sent me a new pair and didn't charge.

I've had cloud 9s the last 2 years. They broke on Sunday and I was so happy I could finally go back to ghd gold. I have medium length thick hair. I was an ungrateful bitch when I opened them 2 Christmases ago. I made do but didn't like them at all.

Oh no that's not so good!!
Never heard of GHD gold though...oh drat now I need to consider these too.

Be lovely to try before I buy but not really possible is it

I switched after my old GHDs broke (because I'd also heard the new GHDs aren't as good). No idea if that's true or not, but I can say I'm really happy with Cloud 9 and will stick with them in future. They're just as good as my old GHDs.

Ghd, new range is really good.I get so many positive comments when I've used them.

Ghd gold are just the originals. I have tried the special editions and find them crap. Can't beat the originals.

Oh no...you're all throwing me a curve ball Shock

I have naturally curly hair that goes very dry and frizzy. I only ever use GHD's, and I'd never use anything else.

I have recently bought the cloud 9 touch to replace old ghds which were not broken but certainly getting less and less effective. They are great but I think exactly the same as ghds. The fun thing about the touch is that there is no on button you just tap the irons together and they turn off automatically after 30 seconds of no use. There are also 2 heat settings. I would highly recommend them but cannot tell any difference between the effectiveness of the two brands.

I have fine mid length wavy hair but lots of it.
