Talk to me about shoes

I have just bought a pair of mid blue denim capri trousers. What sort of shoes should I be wearing with them?

I have a pair similar to these, except the laces and stitching are a bright colour. I have teva sandals. Would either of those look ok?

Also, what shoes should one wear with casual, summery skirts?

Ideally something flat that is suitable to wear whilst dashing after errant children. Ive no idea what look I should be looking for. Or what colour. Would navy blue shoes be a no to wear with jeans?

Plimsoles made from leather. Look to see if Moda in Pelle do any. They did last year and M and S too. Teva - just no! There are lots of flats that are stylish. Look at Dune. Flat with straps are plentiful. Or even ballerinas -try Office. Blue is ok with jeans. Geox are another source of trainer type shoes that are comfortable. They have summer colours such as pale grey, sand and off white. I am a huge fan! Or go with Nike knits.

Thanks bojorojo. Moda in Pelle don't do any with straps in my size, neither do Dune or Geox. M&S don't stock anything in my size.
