Supergas - is it just me?

I've heard great things about them and soo wanted to love them, I ordered lots of pairs but they look so big and clumpy on my feet and appear to weigh a ton. I have large feet, am I the only one they don't suit?!

what are they?? Grin please excuse my lack of knowledge here, can you post a pic?

KoalaDownUnder · 09/05/2017 14:23

My feet are a Euro size 41 but v narrow, and I just know that Supergas will look like boats on them!

MusicToMyEars800 · 09/05/2017 14:24

the name sounds awful... 'supergas' Grin

wizzywig · 09/05/2017 14:25

They are thick soled converse type canvas trainers

imjessie · 09/05/2017 14:26

It's superga...'s so not as bad as it sounds .. I find them uncomfortable to be honest !

Theycalledmethewildrose · 09/05/2017 16:13

I prefer Converse. I think Supergas quite cheap looking and uncomfortable.

MusicToMyEars800 · 09/05/2017 16:25

must google these.

Softkitty2 · 09/05/2017 16:32

They are actually very comfortable. More comfortable than my converse.
Asos has them on sale sometimes.
I prefer them

ArtemisiaGentilleschi · 09/05/2017 16:38

A million times more comfy than Converse, and on Amazon about thirty quid cheaper.
They are heavy compared to bog standard "deck/canvas" plimsoll things because they are padded on the inside and have that support that cheap summer canvas shoes don't have. I'm a 41 and my feet look way smaller in them than in Converse because of where the fabric comes up to.

FreeButtonBee · 09/05/2017 16:39

They are much comfier for those of us with slightly less dainty feet. Mine are a small size 5 but not the skinniest and I find them super comfy. I have a lovely cream waffle fabric pair (bargainous TK Maxx find) and they are great in the spring/summer and wash up a treat in the washing machine. I persevered with Converse but they cut my feet to shreds.

coldflange · 09/05/2017 16:44

I love Superga - have had a few pairs in recent years.

They suit me as I have wider feet and chunky calves. Grin

Def more comfortable than Converse imo

sanitygirl · 09/05/2017 17:40

So uncomfortable. Heavy, flat, rubbed my little toes. I'm not a fan of Converse either.

SouthPole · 09/05/2017 17:55

I've got supergas after my cesarean on Friday.

BeaLola · 09/05/2017 18:09

I love them as they are so comfortable on my wide feet and I walk miles in them - have loads of lovely coloured ones.

hiccupgirl · 09/05/2017 19:14

I love Supergas but my wide size 40 feet hate Converse because they are too narrow for me and the 39 is too small and the 41 is far too big.

They are heavier than other canvas pumps but they have much better padding and I can walk miles in them without my feet hurting.

CJCreggsGoldfish · 09/05/2017 19:19

I didn't get on with mine, I also found that the white rubber around them discoloured. I do however find converse ok to wear, but bloody love my Stan smiths!

farfarawayfromhome · 09/05/2017 19:32

Me too! I bought the silver ones, am a size 41 too. My feet look wide heavy and enormous, my DH actually commented on them! My converse are so slim and lovely...

PurpleNurple69 · 09/05/2017 19:46

Thought this thread was about trapped wind.....

As you were. Wink

Polkadot1974 · 09/05/2017 20:01

Mine are lovely but don't fit and hubby bought them so I'm just keeping but not wearing them!

bigbuttons · 09/05/2017 20:06

I've looked at these. I love my converse, they are so comfortable. I have very narrow feet, especially the ankles and have a hard job finding shoes that will fit.
Would these supergas be too chunky for narrow feet?

Jeezimacasalinga · 09/05/2017 20:21

I've very narrow feet and Supergas were v uncomfy for me - Converse or Stan Smiths much better!

othgraph · 09/05/2017 20:25

I have slightly wide feet and they were uncomfortable for me too. Haven't been able to wear it without getting blisters so gave up on them.
