Dermalogica Reaction

Ok I had a Dermalogica facial on Saturday. As part of the deal there was a take home skin kit which I have now used two items from it twice. The facial was a 20 minute taster session and I did feel slight tingling on my cheeks but thought that this was normal.

Since home I have used the skin resurfacing cleanser and the dynamic skin recovery moisturiser. Afterwards my skin felt quite tingly almost like burning. It has also gone blotchy. I used the product a few hours ago and my skin feels hot and looking in the mirror I am quite red faced when I usually am completely pale.

Has anyone else had problems with Dermalogica. I thought that it was one of the top brands? Also should I complain. I am a regular at the salon and it is a very good salon and this is the first time that I have had any problems. It was meant to be a bit of a treat to myself but I think I have taken a reaction to it. What should I do?

You can't predict reactions to new products though. It could have happened anywhere, to any product.

Don't use the products again, and you could try taking it back or just chalk it up to experience. Depends on the deal. Sounds like your skin has reacted to one or more ingredients, unfortunately this can happen with any brand or product at any price point. The reaction itself isn't really grounds for complaint - unless you were assured that the specific products were right for your skin and wouldn't cause any reactions?

I hope your skin calms down soon.

It's not really about how high end the products are, just how your skin reacts. My skin doesn't like Sisley, but has been fine with Dermologica. If you haven't bought full sizes, I would agree with Dulcimena, and just stop. However, if I had been sold full sizes of the complete range, I would be going back for a frank discussion of what to do next.

And I too hope your skin is more comfortable quickly.
