Long shorts for a 7 yo girl

DD is only actually 5, but very tall and wears age 7-8 clothes!

She hates leggings, skirts and short shorts, and has spent the last few summers in long knee length shorts/clam diggers from Jojo Maman. Sadly she is now too big for their sizes, and I can't find anything similar anywhere! All shorts are very short!

these are what she's been wearing for years. It's not so much the floral trim we're after (we are both pretty ambivalent about that), but the length.

We have also looked at boys stuff, but it's all very baggy on her

DD is similar and has lived in long shorts from Next, we've also bought her baggy jeans from charity shops and cut them into long shorts, adding patches to make them more personal to her.

Definitely check out Next, they have a couple of other styles

Look at Mini Boden I'm sure they have some shorts like this. They also do some lovely skorts which she may like.

Same problem here with my 4yo dd! All the shops seem to be full of extremely short shorts for young girls, no longer shorts at all?! Very strange.

Marks have some and they have an adjustable waist. Four colours.

Thank you everyone.
I'd seen the Next ones MTBMummy linked, love them, but out of stock in DD's size.

Thanks for those links Dubious. Hadn't thought of PoP.

I'll check out M&S too margaritas.
