Plus sized bikini?

I'm going on holiday soon and have put on quite a lot of weight in the last year or so. I'm a size 16/18 (but usually an 18) and 5 foot 8.

I want to swim / play on beach with the kids and, although I'm not happy with my body, I think I would feel better in something nicer than my £6 plain swimsuit.

My weight is mostly on stomach/ arse/ thighs. I still have quite small boobs. I like those high waisted bikini bottoms with a bigger bikini top but I'm unsure if my midriff will look like a burger in a bun.

Has anyone of similar stature to me found a nice bikini that they feel good in? Or a one piece swimsuit? Or any beachwear at all which will make me feel less sweaty than a mans t shirt and Bermuda shorts?

I'm a 14/16 and only plucked up courage to start wearing bikinis 2 years ago. (I'm 41!) now I love it! However, I have to have decent fitting ones and they can be pricey but I decided I'd rather have one decent one instead of 2/3 cheaper ones. My favourite is one by Freya which was around £50. I bought it last year and it's still in perfect condition despite lots of wears. I'm going to get another one this year. I've had cheaper M&S ones before and whilst they start out fine, I found they didn't last more than a few wears.

HI, I would go for a good bikini in a bra size.. Its worth spending more on and you'll feel so much more confident Leia has a good choice in all sizes .. Also they have an outlet

Belle Lingerie are also good

I'm a tankini fan, I've found Debenhams ones to be excellent for large nork support and nice fit.

Figleaves are pricey but amazing. Massive range and free returns / exchanges. I ordered about 8 different options on credit card then returned for refund before payment taken.

Be warned the bottoms come up small in my experience so definitely go for an 18 and then cup size tops are usually very flattering for the very fact they fit properly.

What about this? bikini bottoms
bra top, also in pink
tankini top

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll have a browse.

I really want something that's above the belly button, have a bit of an overhang following c section.

I thought I couldn't return swimwear so was looking for a sure thing, but if it's returnable I'll maybe order a few to check. Unfortunately I'm about 2 hours from nearest city for shopping and I don't think I'll get the chance to go in before my trip.

Thanks so much for your help.
