Light therapy for acne?

DD 17 has had acne for several years now. We've tried almost everything. I've noticed Boots are now selling light therapy masks that used to just be on Amazon. Has anyone tried one? Are they any good? Is there proper science behind them?

I've had roaccutane treatment for acne and asked my derm about this (I'm a gp but couldn't be arsed to read about it for myself Blush) and she was pretty disparaging about it. There is science behind it but she didn't think there was much evidence they make much difference. It's all theory and no action. Anecdotally I've heard mixed things tbh...

I agree with CantChoose. There's not a whole lot of evidence for it.
