What jacket do I need?

Am going on a rare 'proper' night out soon for a party in town. A meal first then to a bar for drinking/dancing. I have a dress and heels sorted but don't know what I need to wear over the top when getting to the venues. Denim jacket- too casual? Some kind of blazer? Or am I over thinking this completely and no one will be looking at my coat!! Please help! By the way I am early 40s, big-boobed size 12 if it matters.

I'd go with a standard black leather jacket if I were you.

I agree. Always a good thing to have. Can be quite hard to find a good one for big boobs though, I used to have one with a sort of ribbed/ knitted pannel from armpit to waist, that was fantastic. This would be easier in terms of fit than something very structured but it's maybe more than you'd like to pay.
