Smart clothes for overweight male

Dh is very very overweight and we are addressing this but, in the meantime, we have DDS graduation in June! We are on a budget so can't afford something tailor made or high end. He has a big belly and doesn't even own a suit!! I think maybe smart chinos and a blazer might be better?
Any ideas? What can we afford which won't disgrace dd?

What kind of budget are we talking? Do you have a Slater's anywhere nearby at all? They do suits to fit most sizes and got me a 3 piece suit for my husband, shoes, shirt and tie for a £200 budget. If he already has shoes you should get something for much less, the shop staff are really, really helpful and they do free alterations to get the fit just right.

I would imagine it will be easier to just get a suit, but it depends whether he likes them and could/would wear it again. Mine literally only wears them for weddings, funerals and interviews :)

Look on jacamo... ds is well over 6 foot and built like a rugby players but get plenty to fit on there. Even skinny jeans.
