I want one Grin
I have a grey jersey side split one from new look that I live in and need another
Requirements are - cheap, long (I am 5ft 10 and need it to be a min of 44 inches) and plain. Preferably a dark grey or black. Size 16-18
There's a star print one on boohoo tall I love but out of stock Sad

They seem to be very few and far between this year. The best one I found was at boden but it's £60. Too much for me.

Maudlinmaud · 07/05/2017 15:33

I was in primark yesterday and was disappointed with the selection. They usually have tons. I only saw two pleated maxi skirts in pastel colours. Pleats hate me Sad I was in all the usual high street stores too and again saw none. I was actually looking for capri style jeans and there is none about this year either.

I like the look of this m&co one. They also have some plain black ones.

grounddown · 07/05/2017 15:43

I am searching for one exactly the same at the moment. I don't want to pay ££££ for one but as a tall person (also 5ft 10) it seems I will have to.

Ollivander84 · 07/05/2017 15:44

Just looked at the black one and it's 40 inches so too short Sad
I honestly wish I had bought 5 of the new look one, it's just great to throw on with converse and a vest. Randomly it was long enough

Try amazon or ebay.

Ollivander84 · 07/05/2017 15:46

Just realised this one is down to £25 but in navy which goes with nothing I own

Oops snap!

bingohandjob · 07/05/2017 15:49

If anyone knows where I can get a good quality material plain black jersey one, would love to know. Thanks!

Ollivander84 · 07/05/2017 15:55

I'm off to check asos
eBay actually have one that's charcoal grey and 43 inches so I'm tempted by that

NotExactlyHappyToHelp · 07/05/2017 16:01

bingohandjob Is this any good for you? The quality probably won't be amazing but it's a bargain.

Ollivander84 · 07/05/2017 16:05

Unicorn - I'll keep an eye on that one as all the reviews say it's too long! Out of stock at the minute (I need a 16 in that brand)

bingohandjob · 07/05/2017 20:14

Thank you NotExactly, I'll give it a whirl! Flowers

CaitAgusMadra · 07/05/2017 20:30

Lots in Vila

www.vila.com/ie/en/vl/shop-by-category/skirts/

Not expensive & Size M is 104cm which google informs me is 40.9inches.

Hobbes8 · 07/05/2017 20:32

I'm 5ft 4 and bought a black one in h&m and it trails on the ground behind me. It was only about £6. Very thin floaty jersey material.

NatureIsAWhore · 07/05/2017 20:36

I got one from gap last year in navy blue.

Ollivander84 · 07/05/2017 22:17

I've ordered an eBay one which comes in petite to extra tall. Will report back!

OP posts:
Ollivander84 · 10/05/2017 15:02

My eBay one arrived! £15 plus postage
Sizing is small I would say but v v generous length. I got extra tall and it's floor length on me. Pretty happy with it

margaritasbythesea · 16/05/2017 13:25

I ordered the Vila one and it's very clingy. I'm a size 10 and ordered the medium but I'm sending it back.

OCSockOrphanage · 16/05/2017 13:41

Do you know a seamstress/dressmaker who could run up a copy of the one you have? Then you could choose exactly the fabric you want. Skirts are generally straightforward.
