Make up for very hot weather

Hello, I'd appreiate advice on what make up to wear in temperatures above 40 degrees.
I'll be wearing suncream but it can look a bit chalky without somthing on top. I used to put Clarins Instant Light base over the top but they seemed to have changed the formula. I was thinking Liz Earle's bronzing fluid might work?
Also, any recommendations for a grey eyeliner that will stay put and mascara? The No. 7 waterproof one smudges horribly on me. Rimmel and Chanel normal ones don't seem to do well in the heat.
I don't really want to go bare faced but in the all the years I've been going to visit my relatives, I never seem to get it quite right in the extreme heat and I'd like to look a bit polished/groomed.
Thanks

Damp heat (Malaysia, Korea, Singapore etc) or dry heat (Kuwait, Saudi etc)?

I like the Benefit eyeliner eye liner. It seems to last well.

I won't be anywhere near as hot as you are going mavornia but based on Sali Hughes recommendation I will be wearing the Nars Primer spf 50 under my make-up. I also have an Urban Decay setting mist which I hope, between the two products, will protect my skin from the sun and stop my makeup from sliding off my face! Maybe this approach (prepping and a final spray finish) could work for you?

honestly, less is more - focus on a good concealer and powder blush for your face (after a decent moisturiser with SPF). Eyeliner can look overdone in the day time, but there are lots of good waterproof mascaras out there - I like Maybelline

I was in the US last year and it was hot, but dry. I found the best bet was applying concealer with a brush where needed and then a powdered foundation. I had a pot of Neal's Yard, but it's like Bare Minerals basically. Otherwise I used same eyeliner and mascara I usually would. For lips just an SPF lip balm.

I love Laura Mercier mineral powder foundation. You can get it loose which I wear daily and a compact which I carry in my bag.

I have acne rosacea and it covers it beautifully. I use LM secret camouflage concealer if I need a bit of extra help.

In the sun it's wonderful too. I stayed in Australia for six years and it held it own.

Oh and with eyelash extensions I only used a lip gloss and blush and I was good to go in about a minute.

Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner very durable. Benefit benetint in pink or coral stay all day for a bit of cheek colour. I think clinique cc cream (spf 30) is a good base in hot weather

Brilliant, lots of helpful ideas there, many thanks.
I'll be in Egypt and it can be quite humid.

I've found that my eyes do indeed look ovedone in the heat and strong sun when I do what I normally do at home. Will go for the less is more approach!

I just use powder and powder blush. Anything else slides right off!

I apply sunscreen about half an hour before dabbing on the powder stuff.

Works for me. I never use any eye products at all when in a hot country. Learnt the hard way that it can melt into your eyes. EEEEK.

No one notices anyway so just do it safe and do it simple.

Shiseido do a whole range of makeup for the hot weather. Choose from liquid, stick or powder, and it all has a high spf in it. I usually use the liquid, set it with the powder, and carry the powder around with me for touch ups. It is almost unbudgeable, even with humid heat, the moisture can be running down your face and it stays on. Needs removing with proper cleanser, you can't just rinse it off!

TBH in that kind of heat I prefer not to wear any make up at all. If I thought I looked pale I would just put some self tan on my face and some tinted lip balm. I'm sure there are high SPF face creams that don't make you look chalky. I never notice if anyone is wearing eye make up, and I suspect that most people don't.
