DD+ bikinis WITHOUT padding!

Oh help.

I need to order a bikini. I live in a city with a very poor shopping choice so it needs to be online really.

I need a bikini top in a 36G with no padding. In the past I've had fantasie and panache bikinis which have been fabulous. But this year every single one seems to have moulded cups or 'light padding'. Ugh. I've got G cup norks the last thing I need is adding even a mm of additional bulk and I don't like sweaty foam cups.

I love this, but it's padded Sad www.panache-lingerie.com/GB/products/details/panache-swim/nina/a/a

Por moi seem to have a few but the reviews say sizing is massively out and lots of places won't take returns on bikini pants.

Please help me find one!

I have a Freya Deco bikini which isn't padded.

alabasterangel · 06/05/2017 07:59

Is it moulded though emma?

Ah yes I think it does have moulded cups, sorry.

I wonder why they are all moulded/ lightly padded... to stop nipples showing maybe??

alabasterangel · 06/05/2017 08:13

Maybe. The ones I've had were just like a bra - in slightly thicker fabric. They were great but about 5 years old now and fading!

Have a look at brastop.com. A lot of them are padded but there are a few which aren't. This is nice www.brastop.com/pour-moi-copacabana-plunge-bikini-top-multi

Good luck! I hate trying to find decent swimwear that is supportive as well.

I like Free by Gottex ones. Not padded at all. I am a ff/g

missanony · 06/05/2017 08:37

Fantasie seem to have some

Figleaves have the best choice of larger sizes bikinis.

travailtotravel · 06/05/2017 08:44

Try swimear365

Scribblegirl · 06/05/2017 08:46

I'm an E and I've actually had quite good bikinis from the Asos DD+ range.

Completely agree with you re padding. My nipples never show so why mould/pad the cups? My best friend is an A and she has far more problems in that department than I do Grin

alabasterangel · 06/05/2017 09:12

Thank you all.

chris I love that one (and the price) but sold out in 36g sadly. I'll google elsewhere for the same.

banana I absolutely love that, and the coverup which matches but I've read several reviews which say por moi are poorly sized and unsupportive. I wonder if that's the case?

The moulding is so sweaty and it holds the water after swimming. Desperately needs to be as supportive as a regular bra (I usually wear Freya) so if you pop a top over and go for a walk you don't feel like you're jiggling all over the place....

I can get to a Debenhams and I'm wondering if it's worth a look before ordering online. Sorely tempted by the por moi one though, just wish the reviews were ok.

I feel your pain. Really struggled this holiday to find anything in my size. Ended up with something padded from Asda but they might do other designs in your size as not the same. Definitely worth a look as it was a bargain.

Chrisinthemorning · 06/05/2017 10:50

If it helps Bravissimo put me in 32g bras but I tend to buy 34ff/ g in those as I find the back size a bit small. So you could look at 38FF?

DianaT1969 · 06/05/2017 10:56

I found these in your size which aren't padded. I see what you mean though! Lots of padded around this year.
Blue one is Fantasie, multi coloured Freya and 3rd with nice fold over brief is Panache.

Thanks those are all brilliant!! I might actually treat myself to two! Currently thinking the bravissimo one which chris linked and the panache one from diane - much appreciated!

I like boux avenue bikinis, they can have slight moulding, but they give more shape than bulk (compared to others that seem to want to up your size - why???)
Have also bought pour moi & found sizing & support pretty good.

DianaT1969 · 06/05/2017 17:18

I've had a few Pour Moi things over the years and the sizing was spot on.
One favourite Pour Moi bikini from about 3 years ago still going strong. I have a holiday flat abroad and get through a lot of swimwear...

DianaT1969 · 06/05/2017 17:21

Boux Ave - straps are too thin in my opinion. I think they still design for 18 year olds. Not convinced they have any idea of the engineering required to support a G cup bust Smile

QueenofLouisiana · 06/05/2017 19:10

I've found the Pour Moi sizing to be fine too. Well cut, no skimping on the bottom covering!

gladyoucame · 06/05/2017 20:20

Another vote for Pour Moi especially as I got a few bits in the sale a few weeks ago. No problem with sizing although I'm usually a 30g I think I bought a 32g in one of the bikinis as it was more snug than my usual Fantasie bras. Last year I got a good bikini from Cleo (made by Panache) which I got my Bravissimo.

alabasterangel · 06/05/2017 22:13

Well I can report that I went to the (few) shops in town we have and all were dire. Debenhams were appalling - choice of 40-50 bikinis and all were padded and the largest being a E cup. Why make and sell bras up to a G then not bikinis? What are your G cup market meant to wear??!

Do I dare mention m&s? Nothing of any use. Non wired, padded, halter triangles which wouldn't cover one of my knee caps. A walk down the beach in one of those would have lead to two black eyes and chaffing beyond belief.

Ditto monsoon, next, TK Maxx.

So I'll order online. I've found a very bargainy por moi 'azure' non padded number and I'll also order the Freya Island Girl one which is fab. Thank you all for helping!!

No Bravissimo where you are? That's the only shop I go to for bras and swimwear. Get fitted there and if they don't have anything suitable I then order online.
