Help me dress a lardy lower half….

Am a bit overweight at the moment and struggling to find something to wear on my lower half. Got some stretchy jeans, but frankly look hideous in them. Thinking maybe longer skirts or more structured trousers more flattering? Top half is fine. Temptation is for long tops that cover ample arse and thighs ,but then can end up looking like a sack and seems slight waste of a smallish waist. Any ideas other than actually getting on the case and losing some weight?

Following. I bought some jersey dresses from boden that look great. Until you look at my lardy lower legs. However the one i have that has a wrapover is so low that no one is going to be looking at my legs when i wear it. Perhaps instead of worrying about your less than perfect bits, emphasise that waist!

What shape are you? Apple? Hourglass?

Big bum or thighs?

Sorry, just seen answer in OP!

How about tapered black trousers?

I am slightly pear-shaped. Waist/hip ratio quite pronounced.
Black trousers seem a bit miserable in spring, but probably my best bet. I got quite a good pair from Uniqlo which are not bad. Just feel a bit formal, somehow.

Long to be able to wear my usual jeans, trainers, nice top and blazer type combo - but not sure any jeans are going to be flattering. Boyfriend styles bizarrely seem the worst on me for some reason.
Skirts/dresses are all very well, but it's that strange time of year when tights are wrong, but bare legs somehow also wrong/cold.
