Best no vpl underwear

Any recommendations please? I've got a couple of summer dresses I want to take away with me in a couple of weeks time. They're a soft drapey fabric but I need some no vpl knickers I think. Thong, shorts, anything will do. The lacy back Brazilian ones would show through.

Any ideas?

Are they shorts style? I was thinking about buying a size bigger anyway to minimise the risk of them digging into my flab.

Unless the dresses are very short or likely to blow up in the wind could you not just go without?

OCSockOrphanage · 05/05/2017 20:46

Just buy them in your real size so they are not too small.

poppym12 · 06/05/2017 21:43

They're in danger of blowing up if there's a breeze fox.

Helpful sock. Thanks, never thought of that Hmm

Remember if it is a thin dress they also need to be roughly skintone. If you are white that means that nasty beige that Kate middleton buys shoes in.

poppym12 · 06/05/2017 22:00

Oh hell !! Beige pants sound very alluring Grin

I swear by the m and s no vpl full brief, available in a variety of colours and high rise so they suck my fat in.

I mean, they aren't exactly sexy but they certainly do the trick Grin

eurochick · 06/05/2017 22:24

The m and s shorts are good. I'm between sizes and go up rather than down so there is no digging in. They are usually on a 3 for 2 deal too.

CustardLover · 06/05/2017 22:31

Yep. The M&S ones.

LornaD40 · 06/05/2017 22:36

I buy the m&s no vpl thongs and shorts - they're fab

peaceout · 06/05/2017 22:52

These are good

I used to like the m and s but they seem to have changed them and there's a hem making the PL very V👎

gastropod · 07/05/2017 07:07

The sloggi hipsters made of microfibre type fabric are amazing. No visible seams anywhere, and super light and comfy. H&M sometimes have similar ones too (cheaper). They key is absolutely no hems at the waist or leg. They are totally invisible under clingy clothes.

BusterGonad · 07/05/2017 08:36

Don't forget to buy the right size Op! Lol 😂

poppym12 · 07/05/2017 10:01

Will investigate the m & s varieties then try to find a stockist of the others mentioned. I live in the arse end of nowhere so mainly shop online but I doubt I'd be able to return unsuitable pants so need to find an actual shop - maybe somewhere they offer a pants measuring service to stop me buying the wrong size....

BusterGonad · 07/05/2017 10:14

Poppy ha ha. Yes a pants measuring service is whatcha need!

if you don't want to wear "Nude" icky beige underwear then a heavyish nude slip can help, also will often give a bit of weight to the dress and prevent cling.

Primark are often surprisingly good for that sort of thing at a reasonable price.

poppym12 · 08/05/2017 11:27

It wasn't burningviolin, another post told me to buy pants in my real size. Darn. I thought I was still a svelte size 10 Grin

OP posts:
poppym12 · 08/05/2017 11:29

I like that idea ventamiglia, thank you. I presumed slips would be clingy but I'll have a look for a floaty one.

If you are pale then some shades of pink (even surprisingly deep ones) work as a good nude, in that they don't show up through light clothes. Pink looks nicer on than that horrible "dead" mushroomy nude that Marks and Sparks always use. It is grim against white skin, pinks and peachier nudes are more flattering. It is probably grim against dark skin too, I can't imagine who it suits actually.

OCSockOrphanage · 08/05/2017 11:48

[Blush] My apologies for stating the blindingly obvious, but like someone else, I meant that sizes are not always standard. Tesco sells excellent sloggi dupe shorts, which don't show and come in the usual black, white and nude, but the M&S equivalent my usual size fits and Tesco's doesn't, so I go up if unsure. Same in thongs, because if they are too tight they really emphasise the bulge-y bits. Sorry Poppym12 ! I am certain you are a size 0.

OCSockOrphanage · 08/05/2017 11:48

Blush I mean.....

FunkinEll · 08/05/2017 12:20

Sorry to thread hi-jack but are there any cotton no VPl knickers around? Not thongs- I can't stand how they feel but actual bum covering knickers.

peaceout · 08/05/2017 12:23

No vpl requires no hem, I don't think that really works with cotton?
you need something which doesn't fray, ie modal
