Slippers similar to Mahabis...

Hi everyone,

Boring thread I know! But I'm having some wood flooring laid today and will need a decent pair of slippers to walk around it on. I'm not after the fluffy type, more practical which look a bit cooler. I do love the look of mahabis but at £80, I don't love them that much Wink

Do you have any recommendations please?

Thanks

How about Haflinger slippers? Some have rubber soles, others have felt. Very comfy, but did have to size up: usually I'm a UK 6/EU 39, but went for a EU 40.

Birkenstock Amsterdam felt clogs are nice. I tried Mahabis and don't rate them.

I work for Joe's Toes www.joestoes.co.uk . They make and sell nice simple thick wool felt slippers which might be just up your street. They also offer kits to make your own slippers. They're quite fun to make, just simple hand sewing through prepunched soles. You can choose any colour combination for your slipper or kit.

If you want really inexpensive, Sainsbury's do some ok grey mules, I think £8 or something. I've had two pairs, one I used as beach/pool shoes on holiday (although they don't cope well with wet!) and one for kicking about at home

slipper I like those. I am usually size 37. Worried that the 3-4 will be too small but 5-6 too big. What would you recommend?

Thanks everyone for your replies, Slipper I really like those! I'm going to take a look. Hafingers look really good too, but still a bit on the expensive side.

I got my haflingers on Amazon for around £30. Still pricy I know but cheaper than the site I mentioned upthread. They're also into their 3rd year so pretty good for price per wear!
