Changing rooms in more expensive shops?

Thought I'd treat myself and invest in a slightly more expensive item of clothing than normal today so went in to The Kooples and Zadig and Voltaire. In both these shops there were no mirrors in the changing cubicle so you had to come out to look in the mirror and get pressurised by the sales assistant. I hated it! It really put me off buying anything and I scuttled back to Zara and the like.

Is this what happens in more expensive shops? It's really off putting.

In the London anthropologie they used to put your name on the door and then come and chat to you like your best friend. Drove me potty.

Thank God they don't do that at the one in Brent Cross Shock. Went in there last month, it was nice and roomy with a mirror, and certainly no name plates on the door. That would be my idea of hell. I don't even like it when the assistant asks, "how did you get on?", I never know wether to tell the truth, 'it was dreadful', 'I can't afford it' or 'it's overpriced shite', take your pick Smile.

It was hellish! I thought all changing rooms had mirrors in them now? I had to walk out (in full view of the shop) stare at myself in the mirror whilst the sales assistant also stared at me.

Even if I did like any of the clothes I wouldn't have bought them, I just wanted to disappear back in to my changing room and hide. I couldn't even see what I looked like properly as it was so embarrassing.

Also, they must do it on purpose for some reason, which made me even less likely to buy. I feel like emailing them!
