How to style this white lace blouse

So I've bought this top for a night out but can't decide how to style it..

here

It's either blue jeans with tan kitten heels and a tan belt, neutral make up, or

Black skinny ripped jeans with black kitten feels, with smokey eyes and dark nails

Any thoughts? Feeling very undecisive. It's just a pub night out work with, but folk do make an effort.

I love the top! I would go for the blue jeans option, mostly because as the top is quite "busy" with the pattern, and rips in the jeans might take the focus off the top. Doesn't mean you need to go too neutral on the makeup though!

I also like the top. I'm not really a fan of ripped jeans, but I think they might be a good foil for the top and create a contrast between "pretty" and "rock chick" which could be quite interesting.

ticketiboo · 04/05/2017 14:12

Thanks both.
The black jeans are just ripped at the knees, I am edging towards them but only because I like the fit of them on me at the moment more than my blue jeans, but I think the blue could be a more classic look.
But yes, the contrast between pretty and rock chick was exactly what I was going for with the idea of smokey eyes and dark nails.

Am so indecisive... anyone bossy in mood to decide for me?

Black jeans, smokey eyes and dark nails.

How are you doing your hair?

ticketiboo · 04/05/2017 18:20

I love you a wee bit Pugwalls. Thank you. I have very dark brown hair that's about shoulder length - thinking an up do? Not much use at up do's so I really mean scraped back in a ponytail and maybe try to give it a bit of a lift at the front?

For hair, can you do a messy wave look with a fishtail plait or a 3 strand plait pulled apart to give texture to put back your heavier part side?

ticketiboo · 04/05/2017 18:40

I don't know what those things mean! Off to google... Useless Grin

Agree messy waves, side parting with French plait to heaviest side.

Look up "braided bangs" or "braided fringe" on you tube and Pinterest.

Failing that, just go with the waves. Can't go wrong with waves!

Thanks. I'll take a look...

Love the top. I would go with the black jeans and the tan kitten heels, actually. But, are they a real, slightly orangey tan or more of a mink colour?

I love black and mink together, especially as the top is cream, they are all neutral shades.

ticketiboo · 05/05/2017 06:23

Heels are tan, not mink at all. Also have nude patent kitten heels. Might go for them...

I clicked on this hoping it would look something like that- I have just got a Boden one which is v similar and also need to style it for a semi-posh thing so watching with interest. (will prob do Gap navy bi stretch as opposed to jeans)

Char22thom · 05/05/2017 07:07

Where is the top from? I love it! X

ticketiboo · 05/05/2017 08:58

It's from JD Williams, online - their catalogue came through my door for some reason and I had a quick look. Mostly, to be blunt, quite 'old lady' clothes but this caught my eye.

If it was me - I'd wear the black jeans, but I'm not a fan of kitten heels at all so it'd either be "proper" heels or (more likely) boots for me. Lovely top!

ticketiboo · 05/05/2017 10:28

Well, do you know, that's good news because due to a sore bit on my foot it turns out all my pretty shoes are too uncomfy to wear tonight Sad so high heeled black boots it's going to be, with some attractive sports socks on underneath - out of sight! Grin

Black jeans, ripped at the knees ok. Hair up. Heels.
