It's a cross body style, v v soft leather! Have definitely seen it in grey, Black and Tan.

But the bit I love is that the strap isn't leather it's material! I love it! Could afford to treat myself right now if I'm able to find it!

Have checked their website but I can't find it, so maybe old stock and sold out. Sad

Is it the Mulberry Antony?

FluffyBathTowel · 03/05/2017 18:37

Mulberry Antony messanger has a material strap

HoneyDragon · 03/05/2017 18:37

There's a trend to buy pretty woven fabric straps for Mulbs at the moment. Could've been that?

Emboo19 · 03/05/2017 18:57

Antony? Comes in tan, black and chocolate!

When you say "v v soft" do you mean that it's a squishy, softer sort of style?

MarsBarsAreShrinking · 03/05/2017 19:10

There's not actually that many styles that have had a canvas strap so I'd be curious to know which one this is Smile

DecimalBoom · 03/05/2017 19:39

Sadly it's not any of those.

Yes it's v soft leather, squishy. I think the Anthony looks quite hard?

I can't think of a bag with a canvas strap that was very soft ? There weren't many as Mars says . The Martha , Somerset hobo and the Edie which had a patterned strap are the only ones I can recall - none of which I would call squishy .

The Mitzy pebbled leather is butter soft but that had a leather strap .

A bit stumped I'm afraid .

JDSTER · 03/05/2017 20:57

Have you looked on eBay and websites that sell pre loved mulberry bags or even google images of mulberry bags?

nooddsocksforme · 03/05/2017 21:14

Had a look on eBay and I think it's this one! Definitely not this colour!

Can anyone identify the name of this bag?

I have a Seth which is very soft but is quite old. DD has an Anthony in natural oak and it is beautifully soft.

SpeckledyHen · 04/05/2017 06:17

That's the Somerset hobo

fiftyplustwo · 04/05/2017 06:19

Interesting name: "Somerset hobo". Is it really called that?

AnotheBloodyChinHair · 04/05/2017 06:26

I have a Mulberry soft leather cross-body bag from around 2008. I can't remember what it's called but it has a canvas strap.

I bought the bag initially from John Lewis for about £450. Within a couple of months, the canvas strap had started to fray so I took it back. John Lewis weren't able to replace it as they no longer sold it so they gave me my money back. Thy agreed that that shouldn't have happened.

I like the bag so much that I located it in a Mulberry store (Covent Garden I think) and I bought it again. The same thing happened. I got in touch with Mulberry but they weren't in the slightest interested and they offered me to repair it for £50.

I refused their 'generous' offer and I still have the bag. The leather itself still looks amazing but the canvas strap has been getting progressively worse. I kid myself that I am rocking a 'boho chic' look when I wear it but actually I should get the strap replaced because it looks a mess.

Moral of the story, if you do go ahead and buy one, do it from JL, not directly from Mulberry.

SpeckledyHen · 04/05/2017 06:26

Sorry - too early ! It's the Somerset Messenger

LadyOfTheCanyon · 04/05/2017 06:39

I've just looked at that one on eBay. There's a lot of pen marks and scratches on it for £119! I think you could probably do better than that but you'll need to be patient. I recently bought a Phoebe for £130 in perfect condition but it took a bit of stalking and a bit of haggling!

The darker tan might be more forgiving as it ages, too.

SpeckledyHen · 04/05/2017 06:54

It's from about 10 years ago . If you do find one be sure to have it authenticated by the experts on The Purse Forum .

The other alternative to source a genuine one would be to contact Louise at Labels Most Wanted and she will try to find one for you in her Mulberry network .

Good luck !
