Orange nursing bridesmaid dress

TeaTeaTea · 03/05/2017 16:19

My sister is getting married in Oct and has chosen orange (!!) as the colour scheme. My DC2 will be around 6/8 weeks so I'll be nursing as well as having agreed to be her bridesmaid.
Any recommendations on smart nursing dresses? All the ones i come across are nice but not dressy enough to be a bridesmaid dress. Failing all I don't really mind sitting out (my sister understands completely) but would be nice walk her down the aisle if I can in a somewhat matching dress to my other siblings.

OlennasWimple · 04/05/2017 03:38

It's a brave choice by your sister Smile

You'll get more traffic if you ask MNHQ to move this to Style & Beauty

Orange patterned dress not for walking down the aisle but for matching in the family photos

Some options suggested here including non-nursing clothes

Some non-orange but bridesmaidy / long dresses here

And for a laugh... this is what Amazon suggest... No? Grin

You'd be a brave woman to wear that last dress at 6-8 weeks post-partum.

I've been an orange bridesmaid 3 times. WTF is it with orange?! So, I have three orange dresses, none suitable for BF though or I'd lend you one ; )

Intransige · 04/05/2017 05:15

I think you could probably breastfeed in these?

Simple wrap

Slightly more interesting wrap

picklemepopcorn · 04/05/2017 06:30

I love orange!

WeeM · 04/05/2017 10:50

Orange is a tricky colour! Could you possibly have a dress in a different colour and have orange shoes etc instead. Because this dress could be good for BF as there's so many ways you can wear it. Maybe you could get an orange belt or something for it...

My DB got married when my DS was 8 weeks- wasn't a bridesmaid but wore a dress. The venue arranged for a feeding room so i fed in that with my dress unzipped!

Aww, thank you all so much for your suggestions (been unable to use internet for pass few days - lovely to come back and see all this. OlennasWimple - clicked on the amazon link as DH walked past - he gasped and said "are you going to wear that?!" I just said yes to watch him. Good giggle!
TheWeeWitch - THREE times! Wow. I think done well it can look lovely, but it is a harder colour to carry off than say a blue....Confused Thank you for the thought though Smile
Right - off to view all your links - many thanks x

Ha. To be fair one of them was more like a shade of apricot. Still... Grin
