Are nike trainers as comfy as adidas?

I'm looking at the Nike roshe 1 vs adidas ZX flux.

My most comfortable footwear ever is a pair of adidas superstar originals but I can't find all black ones like them that aren't leather (I don't wear leather). They have a squidgy insole.

Does anyone have any nike roshe? If so, are they really comfortable? Are they true to size? (I wear a 5.5 jnr in the adidas ones I have). Or shall I try the different style adidas ones?

I've just bought myself a pair of Nike Roshe on the recommendation of my podiatrist, I have awful feet, very wide with Arthritis and Plantar Fascilitis.

The Roshe are (IMO) super comfortable, like wearing slippers, mine are black with a silver tick. They are true to size, I'm a 5 and bought a 5 and they're perfect.

I love Superstars & Gazelles but they're too flat for me now Sad

I've got Roshe's and they're amazing. We spent all of last Sunday at Legoland walking for around 7 hours and my feet didn't bother me once.

I love Converse but comfort-wise Roshe's win every time.

Thank you. I'll go ahead and order the roshe then. I've always worn converse and have found them really comfortable - until I wore the superstars and I realised what I'd been missing comfort-wise.

I agree. Nike Roshe is very comfortable.

SwedishEdith · 03/05/2017 22:29

They are comfortable but they ripped my heels to shreds until I broke them in.

poppym12 · 03/05/2017 22:54

Not sure I'd have the patience swedishedith. If they hurt they'll be put back in the box and disappear into the cavernous 'why did I buy this' cupboard if there's any room left.

I wore them by walking on the backs for a few weeks. Softened them up.

poppym12 · 04/05/2017 10:37

We're they leather or the mesh type fabric?

I'm another Roshe lover. So comfy.

SwedishEdith · 04/05/2017 19:05

The mesh ones which I always poke a hole through with big toe after about 4 months.

ParadiseCity · 04/05/2017 19:59

I want some comfy trainers and DS has advised me to get roshe. He is 12 and knows everything Wink

poppym12 · 04/05/2017 20:59

Not really selling them to me swedishedith Grin. Hopefully they'll be fine. They've cost less than £30 so no major loss if they're not as comfy as my superstars.

I've got Nike Roshe flyknit, most comfy shoes I've ever worn! I find them quite roomy but that might be because the uppers are so soft - no wearing in, comfy from day 1Smile

SuperBeagle · 04/05/2017 21:07

They're much MORE comfortable, IMO. I have worn my Adidas twice and now they collect dust. On the other hand, Nikes are my old faithfuls.

mamalovesmojitos · 04/05/2017 22:33

Roshe are very comfy.

poppym12 · 06/05/2017 16:06

Well the roshe arrived and I've worn them for a few hours. I didn't think they were as comfortable as Adidas superstars initially but after a while I realised that it didn't seem like I was wearing any shoes at all. Not so keen on the style but yes, they're comfy Grin.

I always find Adidas Superstars to be far too hard and unyielding. Nike Airs are fantastic, I'm a 9/44 in Nike though and the Adidas sizing is different. The Nike Air Theas for women come up a bit narrow though.

stripeknee · 07/05/2017 10:18

i much prefer nikes, like free runs the best, do you mind me asking how you managed to get them for such a good price ? £30 seems a bargain for a pair of roshes, or are you fortunate to be able to get them for junior section ?

poppym12 · 07/05/2017 16:12

Yes, they are junior ones stripe. Junior section of zalando go up to a UK 6. I'm a 5 or 5.5.
