Road Cycling helmet that doesn't make me look like a mushroom head

Obviously I wouldn't not wear one and safety is the most important thing here, but I would love to get one that looks pretty good too. Do they exist?

Embrace the mushroom! My preference is for rounded skate type helmets. Maybe look at Bern, Nutcase or Hardnutz.

I have a Kask Mojito, and it doesn't look mushroomy. V comfortable too

I got a Ridge one from Halfords last week. It said sleeker style or something on the packaging, and it definitely looks better than the mushroom ones! I like the skate style ones but my head is massive and I couldn't find one to fit!

Nice range here www.velovixen.com/shop/helmets.html?p=1

And www.cyclechic.co.uk/shop/helmets (sparkly). There's a woman near me that wears this leopard print one and she looks fabulous www.cyclechic.co.uk/shop/helmets/sawako-ladies-bike-helmet-leopard

Yakkay are helmets disguised as hats

I like the rounded ones and wear an Orla Kiely one from Halfords. It's a pale blue colour.

The sparkle one from cyclechic is fab.

I'll second Kask- I have a Vertigo and DH has a Mojito- I tried quite a few on but the Kask ones looked the least bad. Think the Mojito is a bit more head hugging if anything.

AnnaNimmity · 04/05/2017 13:15

I've got a kask mojito one too - definitely not mushroomy.

I have ordered this morning a Bern one from velovixen.. have been uumming and aahhing over this for quite a while - my SIL has one and i thought it looked quite good on her - i'm just hoping my fringe wont go all funny under the helmet!

yes obviously safety is more important than my hair looking good, but still..!
