Gloves... Are they still in?

Hey Guys! :)

I'm new to mumsnet but am going to a wedding in a couple of months and wanted some advice...

My nephew is getting married and I have chosen a dress with shoe string straps and I have a beautiful hat to go with it! I was thinking that the finishing touch should be some elegant gloves to match...

I'll probably spend quite a bit on them so don't want them to be a one time wear! What does everyone think about wearing gloves nowadays? Are they still in? Would you wear them to a wedding?

I actually purchased a pair for Royal Ascot last year. I love them and certainly think that a wedding is a perfect occasion to wear gloves for both guests and brides!

I think gloves are something that just adds the finishing touch to an outfit and I think people have forgotten about them.
