Anyone tried both and have a preference?

For me it's la vie est belle, but you can only really tell by seeing what smells best on you.

EleanorRigbysNeice · 02/05/2017 19:58

I live in the middle of nowhere so little chance of that! I had a sample of LVEB Legere. It's the lighter Eau de Parfum. People always asked "what're you wearing, Flowerbomb?" So, I presume they're pretty similar 😊

The Belle perfume is lovely.

Donttakemeout · 02/05/2017 20:02

I have both and love both so not very helpful

Love Belle est vie, 2nd purchase. Do like Lancôme perfumes. TBH I haven't smelt the other one.

Personally I think Flower Bomb is too "in your face"', the Lancombe is more subtle. Smile

Another fan of Belle here and I have used both.

EleanorRigbysNeice · 03/05/2017 12:56

😊 Lancôme, then

I wear La Vie est Belle - it is gorgeous!

NotReallySureWhatImDoing · 06/05/2017 01:15

I prefer Flowerbomb but it's my evening out fragrance
Try Feelunique- with some fragrances they send you a try me version as well - like a sachet
If you don't like the sachet you just return the full size unopened

SuperBeagle · 06/05/2017 01:22

I hate Flowerbomb.

I ended up giving an entire bottle to my friend because she wears it. It doesn't work well with my skin, evidently. It smells rank after 5 minutes. So overpowering and musty smelling.

You need to try it on and make sure you put it on your skin (wrist). Wear it for half an hour and then see what you think.

J'Adore is my favourite perfume, but it doesn't work on everyone. Flora by Gucci is a good one that suits most people!

My mum has FB, I have LVEB. They are similar but I prefer LVEB.

Almostthere15 · 06/05/2017 07:22

There's a powdery smell in lveb which calms it down sufficiently for day wear in my view but it is fairly intense still. It's my preference over the two and probably more versatile but it smells completely different on different people.

My sister wears flowerbomb and it smells amazing on her but it feels too young on me even though we're close in age my.skin makes it super flowery. Very technical explanation there!

I think you'll have more joy getting a sample spray of the Lancome, not least because it was in gift sets this year in tiny bottles so an eBay search could be fruitful.

EleanorRigbysNeice · 07/05/2017 10:34

Thanks for the tips! I tried some LVEB yesterday and found it very powerful. Also tired LVEB Legere, which over the course of the afternoon, was more "me". They didn't stock FB 😐

I've had FB for years, I try others but always go back. It's a lovely scent, and I don't find it too overpowering. I'm very sensitive to heavy fragrances. Someone on here posted a link to Eden Perfumes which are scentalikes....I've just ordered their version of FB and it was £18. Fingers crossed.

I am not a perfume lover, and have had the same bottle of Chanel no.5 for 30 years, but last year I discovered Flowerbomb, and I absolutely love it. Its very light and florally on me, not at all a heavy evening perfume. It makes me happy when I put it on, only downside is it doesn't last long on me, the scent soon goes.

EleanorRigbysNeice · 07/05/2017 14:36

Funny how our own body chemistry interacts with fragrance, isn't it? I used to love Miss Dior (the original) and wore it all through the 70/80's. It was quite powdery and sweet on me. On friends (and my sister) it really was awful. Confused
