Shoes in size 5.5

I have awkward feet. Size 5/38 are too small but 39/6 is too big, with the exception of Clarks which I believe make 39 as 5.5. I can't ever seem to find 5.5 so end up in hurry shoes or lace ups. Am I the only inbetweener, or am I just not seeing them?

I'm a 5.5. I buy Clarks, or size 5s in most other brands. Trainers come in 5.5, especially if you buy children's ones. Next do a 5.5.

No I'm the same, it's really annoying as 6 is usually too big and 5 is too small! I've bought a lot of Clarks shoes over the years because of that. I also wear boots a lot as they seem to be better in a 6, also shoes that are adjustable, laces or a strap etc.

Me too I also have really skinny heels, about the only part that is! So I find slip on shoes slip off very easily. It really can be damaging. I had bunion surgery at 21 on my smaller foot as it had spent years gripping the shoes to keep them on. Have a feeling I won't be having that problem much for a few months as my feet seem to have swollen quite a lot with pregnancy from today and even my size 6s are tight!

M and S do half sizes. I wish I was a true size 5 or 6, being 5.5 is so annoying!

I seem to have oddly slim heels too, firststimer. I can't manage any shoes without a strap or some sort of lacing. It's amazing that there seems to be such a gap in the market.

Yes,same problem here. I have to try on a 5, a 5.5 and a 6 to try and find the right fit.

Next do a 5.5min some styles, you can often pick them up for a good price in their clearance section.

My sister is the same kanyes, although she is very happy wearing converse all day every day where as I have a rather vast collection of shoes none of which quite fit properly.
