Kickers (not knickers!) Adults, sizing advice anyone please?

Inspired by a post on MrsGloss&TheGoss on Facebook, I am now coveting and hankering after Kickers shoes and boots for women. I know they're not to everyone's taste and I'm sure there's a hefty dollop of nostalgia in my hankering, as my lovely Mum had a few pairs of Kickers boots, back in the 1980s. Some of the Kickers styles nowadays are rather fugly, but some of them are also rather cute...

Does anyone know what the sizing is like for adults? I've completely confused myself by reading so many different reviews, some state true to size, some that they come up big or small! My problem is that I'm an in-between size in footwear, a UK 5.5, so sometimes a 5 and sometimes a 6. I had a look at the sizing advice on the Kickers website and they gave info on sizing doing the 'drawing around your foot' method. I measured my foot length as 23.5cms, so again not sure whether to go for 5 or 6.

I realise that grown women wishing to wear Kickers may be rather 'niche' and reading the reviews, I realise most are bought as kids' school shoes, but if there are any adult Kickers wearers out there, any sizing advice would be gratefully received. Many thanks Grin

Always go on the bigger end of the spectrum, there is nothing worse than crunched up toes!

Disclaimer: I don't wear kickers so this is purely based on shoe wearing experience!

Anyone, please?

I take size 7 and the one pair I ever had (the classic lace-up boot style), in a 7, were not exactly too small but a bit on the snug side*. If I was having them again I'd definitely like to try on an 8.

  • they were also light pink, and I ruined them by wearing them in the rain with new blue jeans (longish and bootcut - it was the early 00s) that turned out to leak colour.

Hi op, I started at college last autumn doing hair and was advised that most people wore Kickers as were great for standing up all day in etc etc.

I'm 39 so was a bit Hmm but ordered them anyway. I'm a size 8 and they were the biggest size available anyway.

I wore them once and ended up in hospital with an infected foot :(
They were so small, pls go up a size.
Massive waste of money for me and was
In agony for weeks.
