I bought this dress in black as shown and also have it in navy blue. It's very simple but very comfy and looks good - though I am going to stitch the arm holes a little as I really dislike the ones that show your pits when you lift your arms!

I am struggling to style it though. I have short hair which always makes me feel odd in these type of dresses as I think it needs hair round your shoulders for some reason!

Any nice necklaces? Belts? I have a denim jacket that goes well with it but it needs some pow as it's a bit bland on its own. If anyone has any suggestions of nice accessories or how they style something like this I would be very grateful. I'm very much a cropped jeans and a strappy top person in summer so fancy a change. Casual or fancy ideas welcome!

Hmmm....I'm not sure, I'd just wear it as it is but jazz things up with lovely makeup! Not the answer you wanted! Maybe a pair of bright ballet pumps or something to add interest!

Pointed ballet flats, not rounded.
Long thin necklaces.

Nice dress! Smile

Oh and any jacket or blazer you wear with such a long dress, make sure it isn't long. It should sit around the top of your waist, any lower and your waist will disappear into the coat and dress!

I'd wear a long necklace, or layered necklace.

I've got a really colourful beaded and tasselled necklace from here that I'd wear with this dress: etsy necklace

I've also got various other long necklaces which would go, a crystal from Decadorn comes to mind, and other things I've picked up from random shops and countries over the years.

Cropped denim jacket or leather biker (Zara do a great cheap pleather cropped biker in bright colours which would be great for this dress), and trainers for me (Stan Smiths or Superstars).

Make up was a thing I thought of - bright lip or something.

I can't wear pointy shoes I'm afraid - I have ridiculous long toes and just can't fit in them lol.

Thank you for that on the coat/jacket - I've had that issue before with stuff and wondered what was going on 😀

Was considering trainers - I have black converse which I think would look quite cool. I always need a bit of white on show when I wear black - I don't know why!

I think converse would work nicely, even in a contrasting colour like red.

I think it would nice with some gladiator style sandals and gold accessories and I second the cropped denim jacket idea.

I didn't mean to say bright lip I put lippy and it changed it! I hate the term bright lip lol
