I need help with the above.
I have no idea where to look. He is slim (30in waist) and has muscley thighs so has trouble finding jeans in a relaxed enough fit to be able to move.
Anyone else's DH have the same problem and if so where does he buy his jeans?

M&S. Either Relaxed Fit or Tapered Fit but he has to try on loads of pairs. he does not have a 30inch waist though
I have a friend who cycles and he buys jeans that fit his thighs then get them tailored to fit the rest of him.

daisygirlmac · 30/04/2017 21:44

Debenhams for us, the regular fit seem to accommodate a whopping pair of ex rugby playing thighs

RJnomore1 · 30/04/2017 21:45

Apparently Dutch brands are good as Dutch men cycle a lot and have strong thighs.

My dh has this problem.

I'll check the labels on his jeans and get back to you. I know he used to wear Ralph Lauren a fair bit but I think they're too big at waist now if the fit thighs.

RJnomore1 · 30/04/2017 21:46

He's a 32 inch waist btw

Hysterectomyhysteria · 30/04/2017 22:09

Thanks, he tried M&S today and nothing fitted. Will get him to look into the other suggestions, thanks again! 😀

DS has thighs like tree trunks too thanks to martial arts and gyming. He goes to M&S and Matalan, or sometimes finds a style in TK Maxx that feels comfy.

DH is a lifelong cyclist with large thighs! White stuff, gap and boden straight cut fit. 34 waist but 6'3 and no fat on him at all.

KoolKoala07 · 30/04/2017 22:15

Dh has big thighs but I will kill for how slim he is. He always wears Levi's.

SunshineBabe · 30/04/2017 22:17

Same problem here with DP. He has 32 inch waist but is a cyclist and ex rugby player so used to have to buy 36 inch waist jeans just to get them to fit around his thighs. Then he discovered Levi's athletic fit jeans but they have stopped making them! Very annoying.

Will check out the suggestions here.

My husband has really large thighs (he was a bodybuilder years ago, not as large now but still big!) and we cannot get any high street jeans to fit. In the past we've had to pay up to £300 for made to measure jeans and wait weeks on them being made. Total nightmare! But we've just found this site and the jeans are fab! They look great, fit great, reasonably priced and very comfortable as well as great customer service - really recommend!

Same here -DH is ex rugby player and cycles a lot. Next loose fit are ok, but he does go through quite a few pairs every year - rubs a hole between the legs after a few months!

SunshineBabe · 30/04/2017 22:23

Happy my DP wants to order from there so pleased you've given a good review. Annoyingly his size is out of stock though Sad

Scentofwater · 30/04/2017 22:27

Dutch DH, swears by fatface. He has a tiny waist and cyclers thighs.

RJnomore1 · 30/04/2017 22:29

Ok he wears Edwin jeans and trickett jeans from what I can see.

Martial arts with him too Gretchen.

imip · 30/04/2017 22:33

Dh also. A rugby player build. It's more the style than the brand, but he looks good in Levi's, nudie, carhartt and gap. But you need the right style, it's more important than the brand!

HappyGirlNow · 30/04/2017 22:40

sunshine you can preorder maybe? If it won't let you on the site then email them using their form. The owner (I think it must be the owner) will get back to you very soon to help, the customer service is fantastic!

Calphurnia · 30/04/2017 22:42

Chris Hoy brought out a label for this very market!

HappyGirlNow · 30/04/2017 22:43

Ok from this thread I can see there are big thighs and then there are BIG thighs.. the high street ones mentioned we've tried and no way would they fit my husband...we literally worked our way through all of Edinburgh one day to no avail..

Bombaybunty · 30/04/2017 22:47

My DH has the same problem. He wears Gant jeans. The style he usually wears is Jason. They have a bit of Lycra so fit well.
They can be a bit pricey, but he usually gets them in the sale.

dailystuck71 · 01/05/2017 10:04

DH is a body builder. He gets his from marks and spencer.

Hysterectomyhysteria · 01/05/2017 10:22

Thanks for all the suggestions, I will get him to look at them.
I think that the problem is his small waist, he also has a problem with suits - he needs an extra large jacket to fit his shoulders but then they are massive on his waist. Thank goodness he doesn't wear a suit to work!! 😀

OP posts:
HolditFinger · 01/05/2017 10:31

Watching - DH's thighs measure 26 inches in circumference but has a 30 inch waist. He can't get jeans that fit waist size to even go past his calves.

RJnomore1 · 01/05/2017 10:34

Any time dh has bought a suit he's had to have it professionally altered. Do they just not make clothes for sporty men?

AngelicaSchuylerChurch · 01/05/2017 11:23

A little more expensive (£100-150ish for jeans) but Hackett are cut generously on the thigh for rugby-player proportions. Their tailoring is similarly good.

herethereandeverywhere · 01/05/2017 12:45

DH used to wear relaxed Hugo Boss and also the relaxed fat face - last time we went to try both they had changed the fit and were too skinny on the thigh/bum.

Our last success was the relaxed (loosest fit) Banana republic, he has a few pairs of these at the mo.
