curly girl method - a silicone free tea tree conditioner?

So I have a curly haired 3 year old and have come across bits of this (but not yet found a fool proof easy website!)
We currently don't brush, but I detangle by spraying her hair with a water/conditioner mix and a very gentle detangle with a wide toothed comb.
Currently using up an aldi tea tree conditioner but it does have silicone in it. Does anyone know if there is a different tea tree conditioner without silicone we can replace it with when it runs out.
Want the tea tree as I am hoping the smell is helping to repel any nits at nursery. I know its not going to work 100% of time but figure its better than another smell that might even attract the little buggers...

'Faith in Nature' is a natural brand that does a silicone free tea tree conditioner. You'll be able to get on-line, in oxfam shops or in health food shops.

Thanks jdster - will have a look for that...

could you not just add a drop or two of tea tree oil to a conditioner?

You're right - worth a try!

There's a facebook group called The Curly Girl Method iirc, lots of different products pictured in there and info about it all. Might be worth a join?

Yes to carrots, I use the dry scalp one, has tea tree oil in it

picklemepopcorn · 01/05/2017 14:27

I just added tea tree to whatever I was using, back in the day.

I think the Aldi one is silicon free.
My curly hair likes it for co washing

You've made me double check lakeflypie and I don't have an aldi one - just assumed it was because that's our main shop and it's actually a tesco one we have. Tomorrow's shopping day so will check it out...
