What colour jacket and shoes with this dress?

I realise it's late but I am stuck for inspiration .
I'm wearing this red dress to a wedding on sat, the weather has turned much colder, a lot of it will be outside, is originally planned tanned low heel sandals but now thinking nude close toed Mary Janes and bidet blush blazer, what do u think of this colour combo or could u suggest different? www.lipsy.co.uk/store/michelle-keegan/lipsy-love-michelle-keegan-applique-bodycon-dress/product-is-jd04055_051

If you did that I would be tempted to add a colour with accessories so big blue flower on the jacket, blue nail polish and blue clutch for example?

Mary Janes will almsot certainly be too clumpy for that dress - it's very sleek and delicate

What else have you already got? Anything metallic for example?

Gosh I'm not sure about blue with that outfit...sorry Queen. OP I think your outfit sounds good. As an alternative I'd suggest a fluid belted nude trench/similar coat over the dress, that you can take off once inside.

I just meant a splash of any other spring colour! Orange, metallics, yellow, pink, white - loads of options. Red and nude alone could wash out some people so depends on op's colouring.

I agree with metallics, or a taupe? Love the typo though, could we make that a thing?

I will reconsider the shoes, they are block heel. I should have mentioned I have chronic pain and mobility issues, the wedding is around twelve hours so anything too 'delicate' is not going to give the support I need.
Some fab ideas from everyone, thank you. I am intrigued by the colour mixing, was going to do tan bag but maybe I will shake it up with a gorgeous turquoise one. I also have a gold snakeskin clutch but it's quite sizeable....

I'm not keen on red and black together, I have black courts aplenty but struggle to walk/stand in them. I also have two small kids I will be corralling throughout the day.
in terms of more delicate heels I have tan and bronze but are open toes.

QueenofEsgaroth when I was married and still flush I had my 'colours' done and fortunately these are my colours! I'm tempted to do red nails but think too much with red dress so will probably go nude. I'm not very adventurous when it comes to colour blocking etc, I'm only five feet small and try to look sleek/conservative as I'm slightly overweight too! (For the record I will NOT be voting conservative despite wanting to look it).

If those are your colours then def red nails and lips. There is no such thing as too much with a red dress, I think turquoise bag/jewellery and nails would be lovely. If you are adding the spring colour have it in more than one place to pull it all together.

I think the red dress is really lovely.
A cream / ivory blazer would be nice too but maybe a bit boring.

Depending on what the red is like in reality a pale pink (not nude beige y ) could be lovely too.

I d be cautious about blue though maybe if if you keep the coat and shoes neutral / pale they could be a nice colour pop. Too much blue I d start thinking 'clown ' colours, but then I m not adventurous enough and when it s put together it might look different to how I m imagining it

The problem with red and blue is that it can quickly veer into "red, white and blue" that makes you look like you are still dressing for the Queen's jubilee if there is even a small amount of white / nude

Thank you so much guys. I found some gold sparkly peep toes with not too high a heel and a cushioned sole, right at the bottom of the shelf under all my dms and converse!
So....brass hoop (fair trade ) earrings, red dress, nudeish blush floaty trench (monsoon prob about twenty years old)
Gold snakeskin clutch which will hopefully hold enough to keep the kids amused for the twelve hour extravaganza and gold sparkly peep toes.
Nudeish finger nails and bright red toes. I have a funky big green and red ring I will wear for a (subtle) colour pop.
Hope that's ok as am going out tonight and no more time to plan as we leave at 9am tomoz!
