'Big Skirts'

Evening all

I'm looking for a big full skirt with pockets (they probably have a name) for an event with DH work

Something like this

www.coast-stores.com/p/magda-skirt/1782998

But ideally a bit cheaper, maybe £60/£75 or so, any ideas?

Have a look at Elsie's Attic-they have some lovely skirts in that style.

Busybee233 · 26/04/2017 21:55

www.closetlondon.com/clothing/skirt.html Try here they have a few

CaulkheadNorth · 26/04/2017 21:57

I've just finished sewing one myself. It cost me £4 in fabric and took about an hour.

Clearly i have discovered my market!

If you want one I haven't made, oasis have them.

Amazing! Thanks for the quick responses!

uk.chicwish.com/
Try this ?

ChishandFips33 · 26/04/2017 22:03

Not sure if it had pockets but Tkmaxx had a lovely full skirt in

www.tkmaxx.com/view-all-womenswear/cream+purple-floral-stripe-skirt/invt/53056136

and another in navy/pink - better sizes in store

Chicwish

MrsELM21 · 26/04/2017 22:05

I see now that they are called midi skirts, I also see that there is 20% off Coast in Debenhams bringing the original down to £103, not too awful Blush

Next

Next have quite a few different ones in

Redcrayons · 26/04/2017 22:08

Not keen on the length of the Coast one but pockets! I hate that so many women's clothes don't have pockets.

RicottaPancakes · 26/04/2017 22:09

Lindy Bop

Therealslimshady1 · 26/04/2017 22:12

I love that style, but prefer plain fabric for everyday

Always worry about my hips looking huge though!

MrsELM21 · 26/04/2017 22:14

This is true, I've never actually tried one on, I may well look enormous!!

ClosetLondon is a fab site! Thanks for the link Busy

Rathkelter · 26/04/2017 22:21

I bought one from Chicwish which a few people above posted. Great service and lovely quality. It's coming from Asia though so takes a bit longer and returns aren't cheap. Mine's a tad on the tight side. I'm a 10-12 and ordered size M. Large would have prob been better but of course I'll lose a few pounds and fit into the M...

shadesofwinter · 26/04/2017 23:15

I have this one from chicwish and it's stunning. Pockets too. I think the sizing can be a bit weird so check the size guide, and the stuff can take a while to arrive but some of their midi skirts are gorgeous.

Busybee233 · 27/04/2017 08:39

I love closet London so much there dresses and clothes are never to short or fitting I'm only 22 but really hate the way most high street stuff is there stuff always seems very lady like

Redcrayons · 28/04/2017 09:10

Has anyone bought anything from Closet London? What's it like quality/size/customer service.

I'm a bit nervous about sites I don't know but there's so many nice things on there.
