NEED to get some new ones

I bought some Real Techniques ones when they were on offer in Boots a while ago and I like them. I've got the essential eye and face sets. Both come in a folding pouch so quite handy. Mind you though, I only ever wear makeup if I'm going somewhere at the weekend, so I'm far from an expert!

Love the YSL foundation brush, flat top with a Y shaped reservoir for putting the foundation into. Blends foundation really well.

For a cheaper alternative, the Avon brushes are good too especially the powder and eyeshadow brushes.

RicketyCricket · 26/04/2017 15:02

Zoeva.

Very reasonably priced, fast delivery from (I think) Germany and they're better than MAC/Real Techniques. Their makeup is fantastic too.

bananafish81 · 26/04/2017 15:18

Bobbi brown.

Neverknowing · 26/04/2017 15:24

Depends on the brush for me. Zoeva are great but Mac blending brushes 217, 224 can't be beaten Imo.

doubleshotespresso · 26/04/2017 15:29

I really rate the Morphe brushes. Not too pricey either.

Destinysdaughter · 26/04/2017 15:30

Has anyone tried artis brushes?

Neverknowing · 26/04/2017 15:35

I like the medium artis brush, the one for face makeup but that's it and it's not amazing either.

Bluesue26 · 26/04/2017 16:42

Wilkinsons ones are great. There's not a massive range but I've got a few and I love them.

CateGory8 · 26/04/2017 18:20

Another vote for Zoeva here. I have a couple of sets in Rose Gold.

MaryLennoxsScowl · 26/04/2017 19:22

Watching with interest as I bought a Bobbi Brown blusher brush recently and it's shit - scratchy and I always have to pick a couple of bristles off my face after using it so doubt it's going to last.

PollyPerky · 26/04/2017 19:27

Bobbi Brown but not cheap. I have the blusher brush- bought about 3 years ago and it's still going strong. Have 2 eyeshadow brushes and the concealer brush (it's rubbish and I see they don't do that style any more.) Bought the loose powder brush which is ok but doesn't have as many bristles as the blusher brush.

thethoughtfox · 26/04/2017 20:06

The Morphe ones are great and super cheap. Lots of youtube beauty bloggers and make up artists use them.

BusterGonad · 26/04/2017 20:11

Real techniques, especially when they are in offer!

flibflob · 26/04/2017 20:16

Honestly? Primark. Prices from £1-£6 ish for the Pro range. Have lasted just as long as Real Techniques (also great). The black Pro sponge for £2 is honestly better than the original Beauty Blender (£16).

EatSpamAmandaLamb · 26/04/2017 20:17

Real Techniques (not the Bold Metals collection) and ELF are good.

LadyLapsang · 26/04/2017 20:49

Bobbi Brown

Daydream007 · 26/04/2017 21:15

Bare Escentuals sell a fantastic kabuki foundation brush, mine has lasted almost ten years, despite using it every day. I recently bought a Laura Mercier one which is rubbish. I look like I'm covered in black dog hairs after using it.

stoplickingthetelly · 26/04/2017 21:39

I've got a range. The ones I like best are Bobbi Brown, Sigma and NYX.

BuzzKillington · 26/04/2017 21:42

I have a brush addiction.

Favourites are Suqqu, Laura Mercier and Mac but I have some great cheap ones too - ELF and Real Techniques.

LuxuryWoman2017 · 26/04/2017 21:44

Real techniques and honestly I love the wilko ergonomic ones at about £4 each, great budget brushes

seefeld · 26/04/2017 21:45

Sigma and MAC

flossisboss · 26/04/2017 23:06

By the way, for anyone who likes Real Techniques, my local TK Maxx had some in stock half price. Might be worth a look if you have a store nearby.

LardLizard · 28/04/2017 14:32

Thanks for the tips
I've tried real techniques for now

I have a couple of mac Ones
I use the 217 a lot

But there's another a rounded one I don't use much

Primark here too.
I got one just to try thinking 'I'll only loose a couple of quid if they are rubbish' and, to my astonishment, I went back to get the rest!
They are good- mind you, I have never used really high end ones.
