Looks like Topshop's going the way of Per Una?

Based on a not entirely representative sample from Buzzfeed but still.

I showed the dds those transparent trousers the other day and they were horrified. A small sample of their potential customer base, true, but I think their reaction would be pretty typical.

TopShop is generally awful at the moment though. Everything is pleated, or with horrible weird sleeves or inexplicable bits missing.

Maybe Mr (ahem) Green is hoping to convert all of the Per Una / Speziale people to TS so he can buy M&S for a song?

Those jeans with the cutout pockets are so unflattering. They make the slim girl in the picture look like she has terrible love-handles.

It's a tough choice, but I think the gold loafer boots are the most hideous thing on there. Luckily I haven't been inside a Topshop for at least a decade so won't be tempted by any of these.

Actually I get the feeling I often get with Topshop stuff; that if the quality was better then some of those designs wouldn't be so bad. The problem is that they look both cheap AND shit. Cheap is OK, shit is OK (because it could still be pulled off) but both?

I like the gold boots.
