Vanilla perfume, any suggestions.

Mr Elbows loves vanilla so I'm looking for a nice vanilla perfume. Not sickly sweet and not flowery. I know nothing, do you have any (not too specialist and mega bucks expensive) suggestions?

Al Rehab perfume oil from Amazon... "Soft" is vanilla, but quite strong so I mix it with a muskier one ("Balkis" from memory) which tones it down a bit. Cheap as chips, lasts ages, and I get lots of compliments on it.

Dior Dolce Vita or Guerlain Shalimar.

Fragonard Vanille. You can get it from Marks. Not cloying, lasts well, almost fresh event. Lovely

Shalimar, which also comes in lighter variations

Dyptique Eau Duelle is a grown up, dry vanilla.

Or sorry, the second one is not too mainstream but still quite widely available.

Tauerville Vanilla Flash, definitely. I am a vanilla perfume junkie and have tried most of the ones on this thread, but nothing comes close to Vanilla Flash. It's a really boozy, un-sweet, unique, gorgeous vanilla (not sure what your DH might think of it but it's my DH's favourite of my many perfumes 😀!).

Serge Lutens, Un Bois Vanille is nice, not too sickly.

Indult Tihota is worth a sniff if you get the chance.

Second al rehab soft or #i love you

I'll second Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille. Of the (many) vanilla perfumes I wear, that is the one my dd loves. It's a lovely bitter sweet.

I also like Atelier cologne Vanilla Insensee.
