Curvy Kate swimwear?

user1471466073 · 23/04/2017 16:01

Hi,

I was just browsing swimwear and curvy Kate came up. I have never heard of it before and couldn't find any reviews. So I just wondered if anyone had any experience of them please.
Am size 14, 36d Norks, trying to lose weight but do find in swimwear if you have a good cleavage it tends to distract from anything else.
They had some nice ones in the sales, £25-30 for bikini or costume. Not sure how brave I am yet.
Thank you

take a look on brastop.com - they have lots of reviews of curvy kate - i just bought a bikini from there - 34GG - and its a really nice fit as well as giving good support and a bargain price!

always go for a bikini - you only live once!

Thank you. I have had a good look at bra stop, some great things on there. Reviews are a bit hit and miss, some too big, some perfect fit. Think I will buy a few and go from there. Thanks.

I think Bra Stop own Curvy Kate or vice-versa. Quality- wise I think it looks better in photos than in real life. Ordered a tankini once and it the fabric felt a bit cheap and was wrinkled, which is strange for swimwear. But worth giving a try for sure. Do try Debenhams too, they always seem to have lots of D/DD sizes.

At a size 14 you almost certainly are not a 36 anything... Have you done the bra intervention measure?

Aridane · 23/04/2017 20:59

Their bras are great - nice rounded shape

user1471466073 · 23/04/2017 21:40

No I haven't done the bra intervention. I feel like I have a big back! If that makes sense. I have only had my boobs measured when I was pregnant.
Where do I go?

I've had curvy kate bras but not their swimwear. Bras are pretty good.

However I agree that you are unlikely to be a 36" back at a size 14. I am a 38" at an 18-20!

I have found the a thread about bra intervention and we get out my tape measure tomorrow and find out. Interesting.

Ok I measured underneath boobs
35'
43' when hanging down at 90 degrees. So 34J is right?? Seems very different.

Thanks for help

That would make a 34 or 36 band (most of their stuff is fairly stretchy so probably 34. And about a FF cup. Would try either side of that cup too.

Thank you - will order a few and try. Bit hard to get my head round 36c/d all my life and now 34ff but am willing to have a look.,

Yesss! Wait until you get a proper fitting bra, you will feel like a new woman.

I like their swimwear - I ordered loads from there last year to get a choice, and thought it was all good quality. Lots of the designs have both bikini and tankini tops - buy one of each and you can choose whether to go for a bikini or cover up a bit more.
